nothing unusual. even the head of planning ESC has left. Right after CHRO and CIO left.
Heard some of the APAC BT team are starting to receive the layoff news. Sad that they have contributed much to the SAP roll out
In fact many of the senior leaders are already double hat once their team mates leave without replacement.
Look at the ESC TEBG SVP, he just absorbed the CBG under his care. There's simply too much fat even at senior level.
No, those left behind should NOT double down. Do the job you were hired to do -- not half of someone else's, too. That just teaches mgmt that those folks weren't necessary, while you drain yourself.
There was a CEO townhall earlier this week. Number of times he mentioned impending layoffs, empathise with those being let go = 0.
Not even an acknowledgement. Best of luck to those who get decent packages and get to leave. Others left behind will need to double down.
we have a visit to Bangor plant uk tomorrow
I'm hearing of layoffs today in global business services.
Anyone know anything?
What's the Mark Murphy downvote army doing here?
You guys still on the payroll? I would have thought his personal PR team would be the first to go after he departed Mother Mining.
@101 PSD USAC is actually trending positive yoy. Our greedy leadership is making it seem like we are not doing well.
@zq is Aycliffe one of the UK plants impacted? Seems PSD not doing well.
two UK plants to be closed, plant visits this week , announcement in June
I know of one person who was let go in Legal with no severance.
Do we know who is being let go yet?
8 is the number for TEBG USAC marketing
More TEBG layoffs in EMEA.
Wondering if there's any movement in SIBG or CBG.
I can confirm TEBG USAC marketing roles impacted. At least 4
I can confirm this. Also IT, and my colleague from Japan just found out.
I am from 3M Japan and work in IT. Been with the company for 18 years and our entire team is notified this morning. Friday will be the last working day. Heard several colleagues from Korea were also notified.
So, there are vague rumors about layoffs. How is that abnormal in these times?
Until there's something concrete, posting stuff like this is just fearmongering.
TEBG in St Paul hearing some layoffs maybe handful so far and have heard more to come
Seriously, at a minimum include which business groups / job functions were impacted. Vague "layoffs happened" tells us nothing.
There’s no detail because it’s BS.
You know, it's not really helpful to post something like this and not to provide any details.
Anyone on the accounting side?
Were all the business groups affected?
Not only corporate head quarters. It is happening in the factories too. Seat tight and prepare for the cuts.
It was the headquarters. TEBG had several and people were told to expect more layoffs next week.
What do you mean by corporate office ? 3M HQ? Which group?
Heard of some in TEBG
Is it due to Mars consultant recommendations?
Which teams?
