Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Starting an AIP thread

Starting a master post to track aip payout percentage or dollar amount as people find out (would be interesting to also know for comparison what the target full payout would be).

E12 40% 2.8% merit. Meets. Nobody can have exceeds we’ve been told

E13 35% AIP, 6.1% Merit, exceeds expectations. Lowest AIP ever!

@1rj+1jnh7383y Because you get a paycheck stub in the mail a day later after your deposit. The paycheck stub shows clearly AIP amount before taxes.

How’d you know what you got before taxes. I just got a pending deposit in my bank account, which would be after taxes.

E13. Significantly Exceeds Expectations for 2nd consecutive year. This year, 5% merit and 50% payout of target AIP. Last year was 6% merit and a bit over 100% payout of target AIP.

Rewarding the “highest achievers” (or anyone, really) with a relative pay cut is garbage.

Solving a bit of confusion. What you're stating as 5% isn't the same as what the others are stating in percentage.

What was mentioned previously is the amount OF the target bonus you got paid. So if your AIP is 10% of your annual salary, what someone means by 50% is that they only got half of whatever that 10% of their salary was.

$100k salary with 10% AIP would be $10k if paid at 100%. In this example, it paid at 50% of their target so the actual dollar amount is $5k.

Always found it confusing myself and didn't want you to think that people outside of execs were pulling that kind of bonus % of salary.

@1kn+1jnh7383y Easy there keyboard warrior. You don’t get AIP if you 08. You are talking about QIP. After 20+ years you might be at max.

My AIP (5%) was just barely over $1k. My merit increased ¢58.
And you all are B!tching about your AIP wasn’t what is was in previous years. Granted I’m an 08, so I didn’t expect to get what E13-E15’s are getting but maybe those in the higher paid positions should have their AIP adjusted. WHO THE HE-L gets 40, 50 or 60% for AIP??
I’ve been with this company for 26 years in August and until last week I felt I was appreciated.
I’d been shifted from team to team (I truly think they were trying to break me & get me to quit). I’m frustrated. I got less than a friend who is an 07 and they’ve been almost 10 years less than I.
Sorry if my post seems scrambled. I had to vent.

You get stock and stock options as an E15? I’m an E15. None of that here. I guess I’m in the wrong department. At least until they give me “an opportunity to pursue other endeavors”.

Merit 1.99%. Seriously why not make it 2%? Would that have made a big difference in G’s pocket?? Seriously!! That’s an extra dozen of eggs that I could have got. What a joke!

@14x+1jnh7383y What does inflation have to do with your AIP id--t?

by

It's worse at UNH, where merit average was 1.5%.

The AIP in 2-3% range is a joke, considering inflation the past 4 years is well above that, so in reality it’s a negative.

E14 with total AIP 60% and merit 4% with exceeds, lowest since I started over 10 years ago, less than 1/2 of AIP I received last year - I have to say this is not the worst though other companies give less

35 percent…lowest I’ve ever seen with all others being above the 100 percent (before high performer award is added in). I started pretty green in my career here and AIP was used as leverage for my less than stellar baseline pay. Hard work for peanuts. Lesson learned and now educated enough to negotiate better in the future. This AIP is not going to cut it for an exceeds ranking and high performer.

I know I’ll hear about greed, and I don’t disagree, but what is the justification we are being asked to swallow ?
