Qualcomm employees in SC, do you all feel a bit poor ?
Kind of all my colleagues in other companies are making 2x compared to me.
Qualcomm employees look poor too.

Clearly feels like either most commentators on this thread are not from SC or these are just comments by HR.
There is nothing like milking the company. Every employee is overloaded with work and in Bay Area expense are so high that the concept of milking the company doesn’t exist. You gotta get paid for your services or there are options. And everyone is very practical. It’s business.
Bay Area is expensive and life is tough here. People who have been here for a while know that.
It’s mostly SD employees who are living in some mental jail
The reality is that the Qualcomm stock price is at the same place it was in 2021. And just in that much time S&P is up over 50%. This has been a generational bo-m and the stock is flat during that generational bo-m.
And after all that people are still at Qualcomm. Even with so many companies around I’m Bay Area, folks are still here over last 4 years. Likely they didn’t get in anywhere else even during that time.
But yes, everyone at Qualcomm SC looks port. There is an explanation for this. They are not good enough to make it elsewhere ?
@rh Sounds like it is the best you can do otherwise you would have left. No point in complaining. No one is keeping you there.
If you just go to levels.fyi and compare. It’s depressing as he-l. The equity is so low compared to everyone else.
The company is in trouble if you can’t see it. And everyone is so overworked that people don’t have time to interview.
These are called brown ugly rotten handcuffs. You can’t get out of it. So slowly you start loving them.

OP, people like you who only milk a company for money bring it to a slow downfall. Early Q employees were real inventors. Early Apple employees were real innovators. Same with Cisco etc. Then the empire builders and money hungry people like you bring it to a slow but sure demise.
Stop crying. If you are competitive, go for the outside job. Otherwise stay calm. Qualcomm is still a great company.

Even if OP changes the job, the problem is not solved. There has been the opportunity cost during the years he is here. How to compensate for this?
Get a job elewhere. Problem solved.
