Layoffs in engineering start in January. Good luck to everyone.

Who says "on the morrow"?

STOP WASTING WORDS! You got a word a day dictionary and want to use what you learned.

Pretentiousness is UGLY...

@c0t > How many West Coast roles have we lost

Don't worry about that. More roles are getting phased out. Just wait for Q4.

@qg Andy will start chopping all West Coast roles and relocate them abroad. Wait for it. But he'll still bring in all his buddies for the most high paid exec roles. And still the company will fail.

@q7 Yo, everybody's straight-up drained, and checked out. Not from the grind, but from all this shady uncertainty and straight-up lies droppin' from the top dogs. Mixed signals got us all twisted.

And them UserTesting cats rollin' in? That ain't boostin' no hustle. Crew's stressed, anxious, paranoid—pick a vibe, they feelin' it. Don't expect 'em to be all sunshine and rainbows when they know their gig could vanish any second.

@q7 , people here are tired. It’s not just the marketers-everyone feels it. Some are anxious about losing their jobs. Others checked out a long time ago, just going through the motions because they don’t believe in what the company is doing anymore. It’s hard to stay motivated when you’re not sure if your work matters or if you’ll even have a place here next month.

It must really su-k being a marketer at Alteryx......literally a game of Layoff Russian Roulette. Not knowing whether your over-paid and over-promoted head will be lopped of, or not.

Agree with the observations that the few people who bothered to show their faces on camera during the all hands were downcast, discouraged, dejected, depressed. Another day at Alteryx......

@m6 They’re aware, and it’s why they’re so down and depressed. Nobody wants to lose their job, but at AYX, the constant fear of layoffs looms over everyone.

It's not healthy to go through this every six months.

Many of the over-promoted marketers (and most are 1-2 titles above their actual experience and ability) don’t know what’s about to hit them in the next 6-10 weeks…

I wonder if the firing is indicative of Q2 results

@bn After yesterday’s marketing all-hands, it’s super clear our new CMO is totally stunning but ice-cold. She’s rolling in with her own squad for Demand Gen, Trial, Marketing, and Digital, ready to shake things up big time.

Half of those marketers looked like someone pi---d in their morning cereal.
It's not their fault. Their previous leaders promoted them on likeability and did no mentoring.

Now they're stuck with impostor syndrome ridden with Anxiety.

Choose companies with leaders who will coach you, and not just promote you for all the wrong reasons.

She's lucky to get out as quickly as she is. While AYX slow-burns into oblivion, she (like most of the other execs who have left) will well be on to their next and more successful gigs.

@bn Alteryx has an at-will employment policy, so they can let you go anytime, no questions asked. Don’t assume you’re safe from it. They once fired a VP the day after giving him the job, with zero explanation—just a cold, top-level power play.
