@qa+1jnr5ny8c Why would you accept a promotion in DXC? Its not like any other company who pay you straight away. These jokers promise you extra pay then back track.
As you mention its for managers to build up more layers to look busy, and hold more meetings about meetings, more process, more overhead.
Time things changed all these fake management layers need clearing if this company is going to exist.
You get F*** all other than hassel and more questions for even trying. Middle managers can't hire new staff so which would they rather have - no team to manage or a bunch who do little, but they can say I am very busy managing a team. It's someone else's issue that the projects don't get finished.
No actual promotion is standard DXC policy. Its deliberately blocked.
Just another of their "grind the plebs" things.
Don't let your manager try and persuade you that its "just pending" and "assume the role now" because it will never be coming.
Refuse and let some other su---r do it, I did.
Just thank, accept it, update your resume and start looking for a similar position elsewhere
I'm billed at a higher rate than colleagues who earn more. Those colleges charged less hours so probably never covered their own salary. I know I did, and turned a profit for DXC. With no promotion, I gave up trying. It clearly makes no odds what you do or say or don't around here.
