Does your manager have your back?

@2v9+1jmdg8zta yes they are and they know no better. Met loves this type of employee. My stoopid AVP is underpaid but too stoopid to 1) realize this and 2) be employable elsewhere.
What is going on with the career MetLife people? Are they making 88K?

And it's gonna get worse. The CEO said as much in his presentation.
Targeting higher return on equity and a lower expense ratio.
If the pie grows, everyone in theory could get a bigger slice. In theory, practice and theory should be the same. In practice, they are not.
I got better raises when I worked for a nonprofit than at Met. This company is so cheap and then wonders why talent walks.
@14f+1jmdg8zta you can check your total compensation statement online, bonus is March 14th, raise is April 15th. My yahoo AVP waits until the money already hits my account before telling me. Every. Single. Year.
My people manager has never discussed my annual and my AVIP. I never received my first several years, someone pointed out to me that we should get an email.
True. Look what happened to the purchasing power of USD since 2020.

In real dollars, my pay goes down every year at MetLife.
These raises don't even come close to keeping up with inflation.
@zd+1jmdg8zta True. GTO's base raise is 3%. AVIP is going to be cr-p.
Bring on DOME - Department of MetLife Efficiency. So much wasted spending. Case in point, paying for a $15,000 flight so SVP can fly to Japan, when their business is 100% U.S. clients. Remember this when you are told your annual comp numbers ... They have no money, apparently. 🤡🎪
Is this too cutting edge for MetLife? What were other companies using 30 years ago? Thats how Met determines layoffs.
@q4+1jmdg8zta nope, not in GTO. Merely suggested The General think beyond GTO for his slash fest. Plenty of AVPs in NYC. How do they each justify their 40 hour work weeks? Especially those who manage teams, teams who do the actual work day in and day out.
@ns+1jmdg8zta The General is in NYC at least once a week. Clearly you don't know who he is... yet.
Send The General to NYC. A lot of unnecessary bloat with AVPs who do absolutely nothing all day, every day. MetLife is paying them handsomely to remain obtuse and a spuddler.
The General has but one mission. Cut, Cut, Cut. Keep your resumes handy.
Sycophants thrive
My DEI AVP manager is a total mo--n and couldn't even fill out a one box grid.
