Thread regarding Paramount Global layoffs

Voluntary Departures

Year end is approaching, 5 day RTO mandates are looming, and some of the most experienced, high-impact members of our team are choosing to leave for roles elsewhere. Not lazy, quiet contributors bootlickers were most concerning about committing "fraud. But, the people who have held this division together for years, and have constantly pushed the company forward. Turns out, when people know their worth, they look for companies that know it too.

Technically, there hasn’t been an “official” holiday party announced in the last few years of the layoffs. It’s always been quietly disguised under the End of Year Townhall, as a post meeting lunch/toast.

@ka They see your job as a gift from them to you, and that your subordinance is celebration enough. Happy holidays.

@d8 supply and demand. Capitalism. Remote work is offered by virtually every employer now. The rest of them at least offer hybrid. Not even Oracle requires 5 days a week. The only ones who’d stay here next year and who would say what you keep repeating - are pathetic no skill low life creatures that do not have options. And they will know that. And you will know that they know that. And they will know that you know that they know that.

@d8 lol you know you don't work for Paramount. Our workers wake up and work no matter where they are. Yes, sitting in an office will fix the issues caused by failed leadership, lol. Dope

If people are too lazy to wake up and go to work like adults have been doing for millennia they shouldn’t be in this company. They are the reason most of our issues

@a3 Except by the C level. They just care about giving orders and worker compliance, not the contributions of those leaving.

Just wait to see how many people leave when remote has to make a choice later this year. Im sure they have been busy interviewing and not putting their houses up to move closer to NY/LA. The impact will be felt by all.
