Do any of you really think TK has any clue about this stuff? She’s way to busy doing photo ops and off site meetings. At her level there’s no way she know much of anything Going on in the trenches.

Btw. This ain’t the only sc--w up under her leadership. There was something a few years back that forced a reorg by SVB and took stuff away from her. Of course now those people are gone too.

The test environments do not have end to end functionality. They never have and likely never will due to the complexity of the disjointed production environment. How this doesn’t happen more often is the real mystery, not the missing transactions.

So when does TK get the hook? Wasn’t she CIO of Consumer when this happened in March? Now head of all of tech when it happens again? At what point will anyone be hemd accountable for the disaster that is WF Tech?

I left the looney bin of WF Tech just about a year ago and things like this bring me back to this board. It’s pretty unbelievable this would happen not once but TWICE in less than 6 months. Same problem occurred in March. I could swear it happened at least once before that but couldn’t find a news source about it, might just be some PTSD I haven’t fully shaken off yet.

I feel bad for the branch teams who have to face the angry customers whose money is who knows where right now. Really makes you wonder about the integrity of the systems here in general.

This is some scary sh*t. C'mon. We've been doing this for like 30 years now, this Internet thingy. It looks real bad when you can't access your own money. Seriously. I wonder why anyone continues to do business @ WF. I say sell all your stock, move your accounts and mortgage ASAP. This is just disgraceful.

Could it have been avoided? I know the primary goal of Agile is to throw things over the fence. Change requirements when things have already been coded. Do some cursory testing and determine it's good enough. Then it implodes once it's released to customers.

"Things happen." There is no accountability, no ownership, no consequences. The people called in to fix things have little to no clue what it is they're looking at. Left hand and right hand never seem to meet.

"Lean and Mean" is one thing. Yes there is a lot of wasted time/$ along the way, but it seems incompetence is encouraged and rewarded here. Its just sad that the customers are the ones who get impacted.

Just one more example to demonstrate that we lack adequate controls to manage risk. Time to bring in a new management team folks.

Are you not aware of MIM? You can see all the major incidents there and in far more detail than what you get on the internet.

How do you sc--w up something as basic as making the deposits appear on time?

IRM and audit are constantly identifying root causes that contribute to these gaps but management is unwilling to admit to weaknesses. All they are interested in is delivering good news and padding each other on the back. Look at all at mobility and promotional opportunities they offer one another. They are busy pinching pennies by hub and offshore strategies instead of making real changes to upgrade technology, attract and retain top talent. For god sake offer early retirements and accelerate the management transitions. Btw… under consideration is reducing severance benefits and cutting bonuses in half for all individual contributors.

I’ve worked here a while and let’s just say there is a reason I have no desire to have a bank account here.

Is this fixed yet? Sickening we have to find out about these problems on internet and not thru management. Guess you have to be part of the "secret society" to find out anything in the place you actually work at.

Time for TK to go. Seems issues follow wherever she lands. She is an embarrassment to all those who work hard and know more than her. She is by far one of the weakest CIO/ Head of Technology in Banking

It’s true. If our tech people worked more than 10 hours per week this kind of stuff wouldn’t happen.

It’s likely she paid for the article. She hasn’t gotten her face out much lately and it’s close to 2024 election season.

Come 9/5, once we’re back in office together 3 days a week , or more for high performers. This will all be fixed.

And this is why I cashed out all WF stock, folks.

It's guaranteed WF will sc--w up and have another scandal.

WF is synonymous w/incompetence and untrustworthiness.

Customers can’t access their money and TK is Bollywood dancing in India. Maybe she could have gotten those folks to jump on the issue instead of having them blow smoke up her sari to make her feel important. How many misses do we need to have on her watch even before she became head of technology. But wait I bet there are more awards for her doing nothing .

This seems like a good place to collaborate to solve the problem since Teams su-ks. Someone bring in the SMEs from India. Oh, they are off of work and no where to be found?

@pzc+1nW7boxG. Hyderabad won't be able to fix it. They most likely messed it up. Someone that was laid off must have walked off with the right codes....

No sh-t, I went to the branch today and there was a very long line. Everyone in front of me asked about deposits they made yesterday, not in their accounts today. The service manager was telling everyone there was a system issue and to check their balances tomorrow!
