"There’s plenty of dead weight at this company that could be cut. There should be a full audit of positions and what they actually do and are they needed."

Let's have a conference call to see if we can schedule a meeting to determine if we should form an exploratory committee with the authority to hire consultants to determine if we can reduce position overlap while improving operational efficiency.

Why are there so many consultants and analysts at the company? Do you really need positions to “manage” smartsheet? Analysts and so much “channel support”.

@pulm+1vpOighR They were working on a way to send an un-imaged laptop to you, that once connected to the internet, it would pull down the WS image. Thankfully, I was able to leave WS prior to that support disaster was put into production. Best of luck to my former colleagues and teammates!

So when are we supposed to do a laptop refresh in the field? With offshore working it? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

If they have another IT layoff, we will be dead in the water. Last IT layoff took out the best and most experienced and we were left with a lot of N00bs. Maybe they will send IT support off-shore again, that always works...

Good one, ha ha!! So someone at WS still thinks any level of management there gives a stinky butt excretion about the customer. That really is funny!!

Everyone complains about offshore! Customers hate them, the techs hate them, it seems management is only concerned about saving a few bucks. Yet they fail to realize that the offshore call centers are costing us customers. They offshore some task and then sit there scratching their heads when it doesn't pay out.

I expect there will be a layoff before the end of the year. Gotta make the books look good for the merger.

Post-merger.... Probably continue to see small rounds of layoffs. The good news is that upper management is seeing enough complaints about offshore that hopefully we can keep what few sharp techs we have in the NOC.

I suspect a sale is on the horizon after the merger.
