Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Question

Has anyone in claims worked in another state while being a working remote?

Were there any issues, concerns, or questions with management?

Most companies are hybrid now. Want people in office every few weeks, not all companies are full time remote. Out of a hub area could be a problem. Depends on role.

Shouldn't be a problem working in another state to support that state's economy if SF is making money from that state as well.

@pon because 3 years ago we were still pushing the narrative that working from home or remotely could never work....until we had to and it worked flawlessly.

If this is sooo acceptable...Why did the company pay severance and let out of state residents go 3 years ago.

I worked in another state for a month and had no issues with management. My grandfather died from covid and my manager was very understanding.

A lot in my injury team have done this, the only issue is if you try to move their permanently because of wage differences by state.
