I stopped to read a couple Exxon resignation posts that popped up on my LinkedIn page yesterday, and came to a realization on why this company doesn’t make as much money as it should. I looked at the titles of the people saying goodbye to the original poster:
Corporate Inclusion & Diversity
Global Leadership Program Delivery Coordinator
Upstream Culture Lead (this guy was a VP, probably makes $800k a year)
Leadership Curriculum Manager
What do these people do all day long that legitimately adds to the bottom line of the company? We lost geologists and engineers during the layoff that can pay their annual salary (easily) with a single job on a single well, but we kept all these fluff positions?
