Yes, with two year inflation at 14%, we are on our second year of 3% pools.
If you’re in the same role past few years, enjoy your 8% “merit” pay cut
I’ll be looking outside for a 20% jump, good luck to all, I have a family to feed

You can give yourself a Virtual Raise by working less.
I was rated exceeds and also told not to share the merit increase amount with others... they want you to think you are getting some crazy high amount. First time I was told that it was like 3.3% or something a few years ago.
I have received 10-15% for the last few years. But I’m also rated CE. Most M people on our team received 0-2% increases making it possible for salary increases for CE employees. I’m also instructed not to share my rate increases since it will upset others on our team.
You have to shift the money around to pay for top performers. I know some people are frustrated on our team, but I work much longer hours and produce more impactful work. This is why I don’t want a union. I am here to maximize my earnings and I don’t want to spread it around to others where my extra work isn’t compensated.
At some point people will realize most posts on this board are by Lucy. She posts what you want to hear but just like with the football, when it’s time to connect, she snaps it back.
WF employees - current and ex - use this site to gripe out loud.
So ling ling lied to us?
Got 15% raise by going outside. Full time remote role, too.
It's 4% on average for the pool in tech and 5% on product, Merit raise is primarily driven by performance - if you are CE expect up to 15%, E expect up to 10%, M up to 8%, IM or NA don't expect anything beyond 0.5%. Bonus same as last year.
If you get promotion - there will be 3-5% extra on top to ensure you are at least at 35-40%tile of new salary band (though 25%tile minimum meets the criteria).
@plu+1jMsFu8C I know of 7 people in tech, personally, who have put in their notice in the last 2 weeks
I wouldn't give these NYC ivory tower SOBs the satisfaction. They are the problem, not me, and I can outlast the ba----ds.
This doesn’t seem right. The Bei Ling fight for 5% seemed accurate. I’ve heard this from multiple M6 level senior execs throughout the company. Some of them weren’t thrilled because of the financial impact it was gonna have on their business lines’ bottom line but they didn’t have a choice.
Bei thought it was best for employee retention and growth purposes and they’re offsetting it with continued layoffs and efficiency measures. It all makes sense to me.
all talk, no one is leaving
Good luck bailing on the company. If you really played it, smart, you could turn this company into your side hustle. Go elsewhere for a serious career.
Why have I seen things such as up to 10% ? What are you smoking?
Couldn’t agree more. This place is a dumpster fire. Mail it on, collect your bonus, and GTFO as soon as you can!
