Be aware, T-Mobile is imminent to abandon all DEI programs and jobs.

@j7 NOT SO FAST! The laws say you CANNOT hire one person over another because of colour and creed etc. EVERYONE has an equal footing and experience matters, not your skin colour or what you think your bio-ex is that goes against what is on your birth cert says. That is the law! DEI tried to go around those laws and carve out special privy for those that think they are special.

@1r0j did it die? All the same ERGs and chapters are still going. The DEI team just changed their name to something else and are still doing the same work.

So happy to see DEI going in the garbage can. So tired if having that garbage being such a priority. Who cares what race or s-xual preference you are. That should not matter in the workplace at all. Practice your DEI on your own time not on work time. Fly your freak flag at home! As a Hispanic male if you want equality then celebrate White Pride month! Have a White Pride group! White people should be treated equal as they created this great nation!!!

DEI is there to keep the employee base divided so that you cannot unite against them.

Notice how there is no diversity on the SLT?

You can take comfort in knowing your leader is girlbossing as you are canned and replaced with someone less tenured they can pay less.

Idgaf about either side of this issue anymore after I was brainwashed into promoting conscientious empathy when at the end of the day, didn’t help me retain employment.

Counting my blessings that I don’t have annually certify that terribly scripted HR training which demonized any form of innocent movement of belongings as an act of subconscious bias.

Cut the cr-p. The U.S. military is arguably the most diverse organization in the country, and honestly, who gives a damn about someone’s background or lifestyle if they’re willing to stand up and fight for this nation? There are already plenty of people from all walks of life serving right now, probably while you’re sitting behind a keyboard or device talking big with the luxury of anonymity.

And let’s be real, someone from an underserved community likely has more grit and resilience than most because they’ve had to fight just to get through daily life. I saw it firsthand when I served.

If your house is on fire, are you really gonna care about how the firefighter identifies? No, you’re gonna care that they show up and do their job.

As for your rambling about DEI, China, India, and donuts, what even is your point? It’s a mess of nonsense that doesn’t address anything meaningful. Maybe focus less on hypotheticals and more on the actual people putting their lives on the line, regardless of where they come from or who they are.

Broader question: Are anti-discrimination and equal opportunity employment laws still on the books?

If the answer is yes, then DEI isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The name may change, but the fundamentals will remain.

Key question: how badly does T-Mobile want to retain and grow the business with Federal agencies?

SMH. This post in a similar thread sums up exactly what's happening based on recent SLT comments. Unless you got fact based insight, this is just wishful thinking on your part.

"Yeah, DEI’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Like, unless we get rid of anti-discrimination laws, which… yeah, not happening. You can tell it’s still a thing just by all the “people strategy” and “belonging” stuff we are still pushing.

I think we’ll probably hear something soon about how we're still committed to it, but we might not talk about it as much out in the open. And if people start complaining too much, we’ll probably just rebrand it or call it something else. Same idea, different name."
