Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Are we expecting a continuation of cuts today?

I woke up in the middle of the night because I couldn't stop stressing over this. Something tells me I'm not alone in this.

Preach quality and get rid of the only people who adhere to quality standards.

When the whole company is remote we will never know the real numbers.

Cuts in U.S., Northern Ireland, and India all taking place through end of October. That is the planned cut off to keep severance costs on the 2023 books although NI and India cuts may continue into November.

There are PMO conversations set with those impacted today and going on now. Best to all that are impacted.

A bunch of IT people (I heard scrum masters but could be wrong) got the axe yesterday and I was told that more cuts, mostly in the PMO functions, are on the way yet this week.

Typical of Allstate though, the let go so pretty decent people and kept a whole bunch of apple polishing slugs. So when their latest endeavor fails and they can't deliver any faster than they have for 10 years, they'll be wondering why. And we'll go through this yet again.

At least until some activist investor decides to put the company out of its own misery.
