How an Employee leaves is a Reflection of the Company - DXC take note

How an Employee leaves a company is very much a reflection of the Company itself. If an Employee leaves on good terms, and in post employment shares favourable views of that company, then the company is doing something right.

Mike Salvino is saying to his work force, if you are not happy then leave!
Does he even know what that means?

This is how it comes across to employees, i hope you're reading Mr Salvino:

If you're not happy with no pay rises for over 5 years, then get lost!
If your're not happy with with constant threat of redundancy, then get out!
If you're not happy with an exceed meaning nothing in terms of reward, go somewhere else!
The list could go on and on.
Its like we need to be thanking DXC and our lucky stars that we are employed at all.
Well this is a 2 way thing. Where is the respect for the professioanls in this company?
Coming on a call acting like a 5 year old, telling us about how he is human too, and dosnt like the moaning.

Does a leader divide people? Target people for speaking up about their issues? What kind of leader are you with this aggressive and dismissing attitude?

There is obviously some petty people in DXC, and people will always moan no matter what happens, but you would have to be a fool to think that the huge amount of nagativity in this company is just "bad employees".

Let me tell you something Mr Salvino, from the people you want out:
People have mortgages!
People are dying from this pandemic!
Moving Job for some people is a huge deal!
Some people are worried about their age and getting another job!

People are vulnerable, you dont know all their situations, and where they are in life.
And all the above care about DXC's customers.

Do you know some days if I cant login to the VPN, my first thought is, hmmm...... have i been let go?
Thats mormality here, thats not good at all.

You know, i read a book not so long ago titled "Man's Search for Meaning", it describes in one part of how people are not that bothered by taking the hit, bad things happening to them, being targeted etc, its not the actual act that bothers them, what gets them is the injustice of a punishment they do not deserve, and you my friend are serving up unjustified punishment to people undeserving of it in many cases.

Look, im not silly, we all know at the end of the day we need to make a profit, and theres redundancies in the workplace, more so in DXC, but have some humility and a little respect for people, im sure outside of work, or personally, you're probably a decent guy, family man etc, we are too..... something to think about.

I hope everyones doing ok during these redundancies, its not the end of the world, just hard to see past it in the beginning, dont be bitter, its a waste of time and never does anyone any good.

@OneDXC- My first thought if I can’t get logged in or into MyTime is “oh no, did they let me go?!” And I’ve had no issues or bad reviews in my time at the company.

He could have softened the blow for the UK&I who have been chopped by adopting the furlough scheme. Even if those people ended up leaving 2-3 months down the line, they would have been paid something while they seek work during these difficult pandemic times.

I'm afraid Mike Lawrie messed up the company so badly, it's broken beyond anyone's ability to fix it. Mike S. started out ok but is definitely showing cracks as he realizes the damage done! Meanwhile Mike L and his steak cutter are living it up with their ill gained retirement $$$$. So glad to be gone soon, I feel for every hard working person remaining at DXC. You deserve way more than you are getting!

what they don't realize is that my leave of effort for this company is depreciating in line with my depreciating salary, actually my effort is depreciating faster - i do the minimum.

@oyi+15m6khCX I will tell you why.
It is simply my choice. I can take my time, gather my thoughts, and think about what I want to say, and write it down. These posts get a lot of exposure to people who maybe upset, annoyed, maybe suffer in silence. I want them to know that other people also feel the injustice, but not in a negative way, but to constructively criticise the companies actions. You will find people feel more free to be open here, than on a call where the top guy comes across threatening. I know DXC read these posts, and I’m sure you know that also :) I appreciate your suggestion, but it’s a tried and failed one.

Have you tried contacting Mike Salvino or HR directly about your issues?
You hope he is reading this? Why not just go directly to the source?

There is nothing this morally bankrupt company has left to offer its staff or its customers. The man is a classic narcissist and true to form it is all our fault. In the true sense of the phrase he truly is a ' see you next Tuesday'

@OneDXC: Probably the best post regarding DXC that has been put on this site. I only wish Salvino and his lap dogs could see it. Is there any way you can get it in front of him without risking a backlash. Well done
