Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Next Layoff Wave?

Any insights on when the next big wave will occur? Sometime this year or not until Spring?

I'm fully-remote not near a HUB or client center and I'm still kicking, for now at least.

Anyone know of a company who has almost monthly layoffs for years and returns to prosperity? This looks like Sears, Kmart, or any other company who has lost the plot. This is what circling the drain looks like.

I don’t see them taking a break except for December. Even when hiring picks up, the layoffs will continue because they’re exiting older employees.

It is always a massive, nationwide layoff season after a Presidential election in November. People are laid off a few weeks before Thanksgiving so they don't spend frivolously during the holiday season.

I'm guessing it's about getting people in the office. I know if at least two that had work from home approved get let go. Anyone else?

Add June to the list - several of us were done then.

Anyone else think the goal is to layoff enough people that they can do 5 day RTO? Along with waves of offshoring? Pretty soon we will wake up and 3/4 of the company is offshore.

They want to make your holidays so special, so my money is on more to come in the next two months.

The rumors I have heard is that they will most likely continue but it will slow down next year.

I’ve heard more coming next month. This year alone I’m aware of layoffs in May, July and October.

It appears U.S. Bank layoff board has now overtaken Wells Fargo, Mellon, Citibank, Truist and BOA in activity. I bet more engagement here than on leadership town halls

There's rumors of layoffs in mid-November. I am unsure if it is the final layoff of the year. We've had rolling quiet layoffs all year long so it is hard to tell when or if it will stop.
