Congress can fix this, congress makes tax laws, and tax laws currently reward offshoring.
They will not, but they're the ones that could.
Tax laws are where the power really lies in congress.
That's why you need a fork lift to carry the tax code around in.
Congress doesn't set corporate priorities in any real sense. They provide road blocks that corporations try to avoid, and they accept bribes, I mean, campaigning contributions, but that's about it.
If it’s legal and accepted I don’t blame I&P for taking everything provided to them. Not like anyone at wells would turn down opportunities if the roles were reversed. Don’t want to facilitate your loss, whatever, understandable.
If they take our jobs then get smart and do the job! Learn to speak English. Plug in your brain. Do the job right. Don’t expect us to train you. Figure it out yourself.
Whoever is trying to use this to further their pro-Trump political agenda, it was a GOP-controlled congress that made shareholder value the #1 priority of corporations. If you want to blame someone for the efficiency game in modern corporate America, that GOP-controlled Congress is a pretty good starting point.

Long story short, only Congress can fix this. The IRS doesn't create laws. IRS enforces laws.

That being said, it's not Presidents who are moving jobs overseas, and foreign workers can't take jobs that aren't offered. You want to be mad? Be mad at corporations.
More jobs were offshored under POTUS 45 than any other. Stop blaming the wrong people. It is Big Business that wants this and they contribute greatly to the politics who let them. For many, many years businesses could only deduct offshore expenses from offshore earnings. That rule was changed and it was under any of the three mentioned in the previous post.
Agree. My experience with WFI counterparts over the past 10 years or so is that they want to a good job and welcome all opportunities to work alongside and partner with us stateside. So they can eventually take it all over? Maybe. But they’ve been much more pleasant than the miserable a-holes stateside that are prob trying to do the same thing..
@ykc+1nFbmaO4 - Correction: providing incentives for offshore employment is a Federal Labor Department decision with cooperation of the IRS. It is NOT a congressional decision - it is an AGENDA of the current President - it is similar to the Obama and Clinton policies. Factual history matters. The 45th President immediately removed all policies related to benefitting other countries.

Why would anyone think that these people would rather starve etc than take an offshored job?
If you want to be mad, be mad at American Congress for not heavily disincentivizing the offshore practice. Where are Democrats in this? I thought they were the 'party of the people'?
Being mad at the individual worker is silly, and almost explains why you were replaced.
