@2mhx, and how p3rv3rted is it to revel in one's own moral inferiority, slinging f3ce$ at everyone like a zoo animal?

Fake news. Honeywell doesn't do massive layoffs anymore. They do it in moderate sized increments to avoid mandatory, legally enforceable WARN notifications and potential news reports and media scrutiny.

If it is over a certain amount of people wouldn’t they have had to make it public by law?

AWESOME - Allocation to the line of business as Q2 restructuring charges. Add more to discretionary EBITA and the P & L Operating Profit for end of year bonuses. Have the Finance team in India get on task to project the cash. Call a celebration meeting to ISC for APAC and the China Team. Go baby go....HON is on FIRE! It's a buy, on the SaaS model. Quantum compute that!

If thousands were laid off yesterday I would expect this board to be hopping the way it was last year. If you were indeed let go, I'm sorry to hear it, but if you're exaggerating, karma will have its way.

Not buying it. If 1000's, even 100's were being laid off soon, there is a process to be followed, and people would certainly have had a heads up. Fear mongering, attention wh--e, troll.

If this is the case, it would be a company wide lay off. If this isn’t true what units of Honeywell are affected?
I work in aerospace division, does anyone know if this division will be affected. My opinion it will be if thousand of people are going to be affected. Just curious if the lay offs, are only affecting non production workers. We barely have any support staff. In order to build the parts, they require us to make. Even worse not even enough production staff to get work done. Just increase overtime, and cut more heads.

Please more details are who going to be affected. This might be a blessing. You are now force to find a new job. Which will treat you better, and have better benefits.

@etr, so sorry to hear this bad news. If you're already in your 60s, you can apply for Social Security. That plus unemployment, plus any severance you get should at least be a safety net while you look for your next gig.

If you are offered outplacement service, absolutely make good use of it, but don't insist on seeking the same job somewhere else. Evolve. List out all the other things you did that were tangential to your primary role. Did you coordinate things? Did you improve things for customers? Did you train others? Did you design any programs? Are you a green or black belt? Do you speak other languages? Do you write well? There are so many ways you can repackage yourself at your level of experience...you just have to be willing to do it. I know first-hand.

Now you finally have time to put all that old stuff on ebay, Craigslist, etc. After you settle down from the initial shock, put on a smile and invent your next incarnation. Good luck!

@ooe, consider yourself brat-slapped! We do not address our colleagues this way, current and former. In fact, we do not address others this way, period. You are totally out of line and out of place with your mean-spirited posts. And no, my feelings aren't hurt...I'm p-ss-d! Take your next paycheck and buy a soul!

Sixty years old and you’ll lose everything if you can’t work for Honeywell for seven more years? Talk about lousy life planning. Your life sc--w-ups aren’t the fault of any company. Dude, accept responsibility for yourself. Pathetic.

I am sorry to hear that. Hope you will find something better soon.

Which SBG or BU are you referring to or is all over HON? Thanks.

a raise in April & laid off in May. Some businesses have dried up because of the war on the oil & gas industry. Worse is yet to come. It was a good place to work and I thought I found a home there. Now I am literally afraid of losing everything because there just aren't jobs anymore. I'm in my 60s and being replaced by technology. Wasnt planning on retiring for another 7 years at the earliest. HON, like many companies, is pushing to replace people with machines/software. If you are young take note! You will be in your 60s too in the blink of an eye. Yesterday I was young and following the work was great experience. I still have a lot to offer & am tech savvy enough to learn and use new software, but suddenly I'm not wanted. A few million in software and computers and constant upgrades is better for the bottom line. That means YOU will be paying for me to live out my life in a place I dont want to be, rather than in the home I worked so hard for and want to stay in. It's coming for you too.
