Hi All,
Some great people are here, and I am looking for your advice on how to negotiate salary and benefits. from North america in prov offer process.
What GC band do specialists get hired on?
What salary base for that GC band?

@26c Sound advice. If you can stick it out and bank your pay, it might be worthwhile.
If it turns into a short-term job for whatever reason, then it wasn't worth it. Consider your tolerance for inanity and your ability to be flexible in all regards work and home.

@1zj Do what you got to do, but understand at Aramco 1. your comp will not go up (but your living expenses will), 2. the work you do at Aramco will not increase your value to a Western employer, 3. you will have no job security whatsoever, 4. you will likely need to take orders from incompetent middle management who will blame you when things go wrong. Weigh that against any short term gain you think you are getting by taking the job. A good rule to thumb is to look at how much money you can save in 2 years at Aramco vs what you could save in the West. If that difference is life changing, then do it, otherwise stay put. Just my $0.02.

I dont work in Oil and Gas as of now. so getting opportunity in US oil and gas is slim for me.. also I live in the maple country north of USA...
they are offering me GC 13... I dont like this part of the offer.. otherwise it's good for me.

Anyone smart and who worked hard to improve oneself left years ago. It’s now obvious it’s another Israeli puppet state and shell co. led by fraud izzlamists. Might as well stay in a country and company with clean air, clean bathrooms and a cubicle for four larger than a jail cell.

Aramco has not been competitive the last few years. Wouldn’t advise to touch anything under grade code 15.

Do negotiate, but aim for the moon! If they give in, then that's good. If they don't then be thankful, you may have just saved yourself the grief and frustration coz it wont be an easy ride.

Yeah, not much negotiation these days. 'Our way or the highway'. Unless you are a superstar of some sort, but then why would you go there?

@OP Do not leave a Western Job for Aramco! The pay is no longer competitive and the living conditions on camp are getting worse.

My advice to you is to stay in North America where there’s now lots of opportunities as the US is now producing 23.6 million barrels of oil per day. This is more than KSA & Russia production combined. Besides the salary & benefits in Saudi Aramco have declined quite a lot in the last decade. Gone are the days when I started there in the 90’s. You will thank me.. you’re welcome.

If you're a specialist you should aspire to GC15 and above. Base salaries dolllar wise are not what they used to be in the golden days so the number has to make sense to you.
