Not sure if it’s well known and can’t remember if it’s SVP or EVP level where it starts, but once you get to that level you have to own 3x your salary in Allstate stock. If you don’t have that much, they’ll use a relatively large portion of your paycheck to buy shares.

A few years ago, one recently promoted executive said he was getting paid “like a senior analyst” because of all the stock the company was forcing him to buy. Pretty sure he expected I would feel bad for him, but instead pointed out how it was a terrible idea to have your decisions as a leader tied to short term stock moves.

Anyone who actually believes this company is doing even remotely well either is taking in the Big Blue Kool Aid via IV or they are just purely 100% bona fide id--ts with no clue.....or more than likely both.

Trian owes about as much stock as another activist, Carl ichan, and he has done squat.

The conspiracy theroists here definitely need to be checked for their whereabouts on Jan 6

I still remember the day I knew it was time to leave Allstate. I was in a meeting (of course), about a dozen people, Director to EVP, couple of different departments. Talk had turned to how hard it was to get anything done (how much the IT su-ked). One of the VPs saw on his phone that the stock hit $125 that day (so, 2020?), and the mood of all the senior people brightened and the problems evaporated...

@nod+1pBZxBkV, OK genius….
What do you think happens to a stock when someone like Trian buys blocks to be able to control voting shares and company direction??
It goes up Jethro….the stock moved to the 130 area shortly after the announcement of the intentions and activity of Trian…
…. It keep thinking that anyone with a brain has confidence in Tommy and the gang…
You may want to rethink your lost because it makes you look like an id--t…

Actually layoffs were around 3000 in 2023 and a few thousand were lifted to the vendors as now employees of those areas so that poster is pretty spot on if you combine the two being off Allstate's pay. The lifter over employees are pretty much layoffs as they are no longer being aid by Allstate.

Come on man! It’s gotta be cuz those appliance warranty products are booming. And all the jobs overseas make us a good value It’s okay that the policies su-k with growing conditions and exclusions. Allstate can ride the wave of its past reputation right up until Tommy retires 12/31/26. These guys are so righteous. Just love them. NOT!

  1. 4-5k people did not get laid off
  2. It has nothing to do with a hedge fund. Investors don't buy into rumours on failing companies

It has to do with the fact that the market as a whole is up. As a default, Allstate becomes a bi product of that. Very hard for any stock to decline when the overall sentiment is positive and people are buying

Some purchased market share, about to be taken over by hedge, and the 4000-5000 layoffs and "Lift and Shifts" combined off their payroll books will make even this tu-d of a company bump up a bit in stock.

It has absolutely nothing to do with anything Allstate is actually doing the with home office mismanagement and incompetence and overall misdirection of this company continuing.

It's just short attention span of a group of investors making it look a lot better than it is.

Allstate is still a flaming dumpster fire full of smoldering dog p-o.

We were reliably informed here the share prices were tanking and circling the drain. You mean to tell me there are posts here that are pure garbage?

This is driven by the knowledge that Allstate is in the cross hairs of being taken over by a hedge fund…it has nothing to do with market confidence in the current leadership team….

Rising seas save all boats. It is temporary. Take gains over the next few weeks and run.
