Yep, the classic and well worn DXC excuse for not doing it now. No doubt March26 will come and go with no decision. So predictably boring.

No pay raise yesterday
No pay raise today
No pay raise tomorrow

This is the way

If you want raise, leave. That is your only option

What is this "cause" bullsh-t. DXC doesn't fire anyway. People who don't go on teams, don't respond to hardly any emails. When asked don't seem to know anything - are still here. So it's not very hard to see why everyone on here is following suit, and taken their foot off the gas so that nothing much gets done. We're all very busy of course. Mostly on status meetings and escalations. You don't even work here do you Mr Cause, Be Professional, Leave man.

With these Desis at the top Ramnot, Cumhere, nindow Gangu lie, at the top its becoming a TCS by backdoor.

They dont appreciate anyone who keeps the services running day to day, they want the folks to dance with joy learning new ai tricks for free, then wonder why they dont win new business.

Your not going to motivate people, your not going to retrain people, and this ship is heading to the iceberg. People are fed up of listening to your lies.

@m7+1k9snrk8b the indian guy doing the talk was Nindough G. I Was speaking to a indian mate of mine and he said his a stereo tep from an old desi era, the type the younger indians hate as they are wanting something for nothing. My friend fell off his chair when i told him i haven't had a rise in years, he just wouldn't believe me.

@nk Absolutely - if they can do it cheaper elsewhere. Lay us off, and get on with it. But your ki-ling this place with this policy of - you negotiate your salary when you join and that's it. That was 20 years ago - the market has moved on. But my next move is to retire, but just not yet. In the meantime. I'm just dragging my feet because I don't feel valued, and it turns out I still get the same salary, and have learnt to tune out endless shouting about changing priorities.

All I hear is there is no money for rises. Yet in the same call. We're hiring! Because there's so much work. Its 4x my wage contract, or 30% more full time. These people come in and know nothing. Well sorry I forgot it too. Pay equality would help me remember.

@m7 you basically described ramnath who lives to say he was 30 years at Accenture but glosses over the fact that 20 of them were in India. He also did not build the Pvt equity practice but it's funny to hear him describe it like they were the new KKR or Blackrock it was literally an arm of consulting and now he's made himself head of America's. Jokes write themselves

Changing role to get a raise? Yeah right.

Get some qualifications? Nope, that doesn't get you one either.

Get a promotion? You can't have a promotion if you are in anything but a low cost country.

You can of course be given more work or more responsibility or even a team leader role... Just not any money to go with it.

I think we all know the game now and if you are smart you won't let them play you.

Was listening to to a indian guy with a strong dialect on a UKI call today and he came up with pretty much all the excuses not to pay. He has used the same tone for the last few years eg you need to change jobs to get a raise. How is this possible if there is no new role? Typical the South A guy thinks he can get others to do the work for next to nothing. Thinks he ran a major service on grads, who is he fooling?

He wants people to turn up and deliver but give them nothing. How does he think daily services are delivered? What about the people working hard day in day out? May as well go above, leave the customer to rot.

The guy is a dinasour, looks like more people will be joining the Networks team.

Word is, there’s still no word. Apparently, we’re back to April pay reviews — a clever way to make an “annual” review happen only every 18 months, if that. Want a raise? Best to quit. Or just ease off and watch your hourly rate climb. If you can manage to stop thinking about this filipin place that is!

@jy
Funnily enough we’ve just had two new graduate ‘early career’ chaps introduced on our team that we’;ve got to show how our team works. I’m guessing they’ll be shipped out as ‘consultants’ soon.

After long consideration I have decided I'm joining the Network Team plan. On constant holiday with no stress. I will do a hobby something new not AI.

Its the only way forward.

Some of the mid management who are recent joiners on inflated pay, are on another planet of positiveness, disconnected with reality of the workers on the ground who are being constantly hit by inflation and no pay rises.

Any pay rises will be targeted to those individuals deemed necessary to retain.
For the rest of us it will business as usual, ie. 0% hoping that you will just up and leave as mgmt know you are easily replaced, especially in the current climate.
You know its true, open your eyes. It's happened every year since DXC was formed.
If you're waiting for some miraculous turnaround you'll be waiting an awful long time.

I’d love to do a great job and be rewarded for it. But 20 years at DXC have taught me two things:

  1. They don’t give pay rises, no matter how good you are or how far behind you’ve fallen compared to colleagues who are technically far less capable.

  2. It doesn’t really matter what you don’t do — you won’t get dismissed. There are a few things that could get you fired, but you’d have to be either extremely incompetent or doing something close to criminal.

Until those thing change - expect 0% from DXC, so they can expect another year of us all cutting back on what we give.

The Management here are incompetent and so deluded, asking the folks to look forward, work for the clients, try to defend to undefendable bad communications and dealing from them.

Simply not going to happen, if you want positivity then pay up otherwise the DXC decline will continue to gather pace.

Story we were told is that managers are no longer involved, it's all done centrally by HR. Managers are as much in the dark as the rest of us.
I'm sure they intend to give raises (that's a joke for UK staff)

@ah Yes. They just want you to do their task, and will dangle that carrot knowing we fall for it every year. The moment they task is done, they'll find some excuse as usual.

There is no monetary pay rise of course. So nothing to announce. But hey you are getting a two week holiday this Christmas! If you'd like a higher hourly wage - just do less! Which seems to be the norm around here.
