Well, it's kind of awkward to try to run a factory in a country you are going to war with over Taiwan. So, yeah it's done.
The process might not be fast. No reason to hold but cannot shut down so fast.
wuxi will be shuttled soon ... activities are a norm in China factories
@rpi+1mpvOCdE design and manufacture yourself silly bc without the rest of us, who according to you “don’t affect the product in any meaningful way,” you don’t have sh*t!! Next time before you sound off think through
We need prepare alternate supply chain anyway, expect 100% ban on all US import / export with China. Seniormost executives have been briefed by administration. Only matter of timing.
@nio Let me guess bootlicking management type who draws a paycheck for doing absolutely nothing to effect the product in any meaningful way. Let’s make this clear drives are made and designed by Operators, Technicians, and Engineers all others are (cost adders) at best. We do have a few good managers and directors but they are rare.
Shut her down good!
There is no reason to keep Wuxi operation if Seagate not able to sell HDD and systems to major Chinese companies dealing with cloud, semicond ,AI and other high tech industries.
WUX will close
Will not be closed due to China gov. but expect a huge impact. +30%.
Memory Lane Week! Target audience is still around this week.
