Finally, some common sense prevails.

Unfortunately, this realization comes a bit too late, but better late than never.

The destruction caused by RM incompetence and social engineering agenda is irreversible, and it will take decades to recover, if recovery is even possible.

I hope her replacement brings much-needed positive changes.

People need to stop shifting the blame for RM destruction onto others. Her job is "People," and when we have the wrong people in the wrong places, it's because of her failed processes or complete lack of them.

She didn't just allow bad behavior; she encouraged it, adding fuel to the fire with her social engineering.

I was in TCO until early this year, and I had to deal with an utterly incompetent HR BP. She was miserable—a bitter, single woman in her late forties—and seemed he-l-bent on spreading her misery to everyone else. Despite being warned about her nasty demeanor, I remained polite. RM's influence has made people like her think they are the core of the business instead of a supporting function, giving them the audacity to act this way.

I could write volumes about the horror stories that I and others have faced because of just one person among the hundreds she brought into our business under the guise of diversity. I'm all for capable minorities in leadership positions—B V was a fantastic leader to work for. But the problem arises when incompetent individuals are given too much power. They abuse it, drive top talent away, and protect and promote those who are dragging the company down.

I really hope changes are coming because working for CVX right now is incredibly dangerous for countless reasons. If you have any chance to escape, take it. Those who are stuck, whether because of family or lack of better options (like the useless HR BPs), have no choice but to endure this toxic environment.

Good point by @1sja. No one wants to talk about the large number of incompetent folks of a certain group running large parts of the company at all levels. Most got there by being in a chummy boys club. The majority of the bad decisions that have brought the company to the state today are not by people like RM, but more people like MW, MN, NH, PB, CP, JG etc. with their short-term thinking to pad their stock options.

RM is just HR. Unless you work in HR, nobody really cares whether she stays or goes. HR just pushed paper and doesn’t really have any effect on the success of the company.

To pin any Chevon failures solely on RM and not other leaders is WILD. Feels racist too. A lot of time is spent on this blog calling her names or ”trash.” The Chevron Way is lost on you. You must live a miserable life.
