How to give real anonymous feedback?

Is there a way to give real feedback on leaders without it being tracked back to us like an anonymous email server to the firm somehow? Feel like we are going to be in a bad spot if we can’t speak freely about what we witness and life will never get better otherwise

@n8 the org all-hands used to allow for anonymous questions via their preferred app, but that was shut down during the pandemic because the questions weren't slow-pitched softballs. "My door is always open," is a fairytale, not an invitation.

IMO, your best option is to just read this board and realize you're not the only one who's frustrated with the direction of things. And if it's weighing so heavily on your psyche that it's affecting your life, look outside the firm. Target some skills to sharpen and get your resume out there. Don't let someone else own your tomorrow.

Leadership has been running a fear-based strategy since the waning of the pandemic. Employees had agency for the first time in decades during the height of COVID and it scared the EC white. They clapped back with supreme force, knowing that the FUD of modern times and a weakening job market would get the majority of ants back in line.

@n8 Strong leadership could handle tough questions but weak leadership hides behind staged optics/fakery then goes on witch hunts for anyone who dares call them out. Their egos are so fragile that even the smallest disagreement IRL brings retaliation so we end up here posting & their reaction proves the point (IMO).

@aq
I would say the middle management and those above them only want 5s. Anything but that doesn’t matter imo. It’s almost like our old OSAT. Our managers whom might be awesome get penalized if the score isn’t high enough when we answer the truth, even if all the questions on them specifically are rated high as only the first two questions matter to those higher up

TDA allowed completely anonymous questions at every town hall, AMA and roundtable. Schwab will not allow it. I've even emailed those responsible for handling the questions and was shut down. I'm not sure why leadership cannot take the difficult questions that would surely cause retaliation if a name was attached, but Schwab will not do it.

My direct manager has gone as far as turning the blame to us for not having the courage to ask these questions publicly.

Get another job.

Our culture entrenched. Say nothing and like it or we will punish you. Particularly STS.

I can ensure you that your engagement survey has ZERO value. Senior management just throw it into garbage bin after it is done.

Real feedback isn’t wanted. Those who provide it risk being scapegoated as the problem.

IMO leadership doesn’t want feedback. They just want you to fill out your engagement survey with 5’s and 4’s and FOLLOW THE RULES.

If you speak freely about what you witness, they won’t listen but they will get to work on finding a way to get rid of you!
