Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

BA ISC

I just started but many colleagues have said it’s been crumbling under unrealistic leadership pressure, while preferential treatment and resources are given to sites and people from Mexico. Did I make a mistake coming here?

@n1 : All companies do behave the same (can’t trust boss, no job security no recognition no advancement no pay for work hours over 40, etc); I don’t doubt that this is true. Then I’ll find one that at least pays better and/or with better benefits.
….Honeywell is DEI so if you can leverage that that might be another differentiator for you between Honeywell and others.

No you didn’t. The grass is not greener. Zillions of folks getting laid off. Honeywell is not different than any other big company.
Keys to success:

  • Support Mexico
  • Support the military and veterans
  • don’t question the bosses

You should be good if you just have some patience

The measure of a man's character is not whether he makes mistakes, and you made a colossal, festering mistake, but what he does after to mitigate and move on.

On the positive side at least you are earning whilst looking for another job.

Do they have any veterans working there?

If you’re at Honeywell (anywhere in the world or any part of the company), yes, you made a (soul-crushing) mistake. If you have other offers - even if 80-85% of base, the grass is greener at those places.
