@mx I would much prefer to work somewhere where actual results matter, rather than the illusion of actual results.
Most Chevron managers are completely unable to differentiate between good work and performative work - and shiny, performative work was often recognized and rewarded.
Trying to focus on the shiny performative work that’s of no value, but gets rewarded, is exhausting.
@mx
nah, just not a torture chamber run by greedy skillless clowns
Many of you act like this is the first job you have ever had and it is supposed to be all like some vision or utopia that someone planted in your head. I sure hope you don't ever have to work at a normal company where they expect results or you're out the door. Chevron is a cake walk compared to most.
i dont understand why people continuously bi--h and moan. Just milk this place for what its worth, like I have for the last 24 years and you will have made a sh-t ton of $$.
@as in Australia and other jurisdictions they absolutely have to pay severance.
They don't have to pay you severance.
Chevron can ask you to leave whenever they want. Stop with the conspiracy theories.
severance is money
money that can be shuffled up to the top
of course they don't want to pay it out
You give them too much credit. Occam’s razor: they’re really just this incompetent, and this whole thing has been a staggering blunder.
