Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Tuesday's Town Hall

I might watch just out of curiosity to see if the anger about the "pay review" the people mangers fed up the chain reached any of the leaders. Can we work out at what level the delusion sets in?
I'm quietly confident the anger got fed up 4 levels of management but did it get any further

Also it's not Thanksgiving so why the pre-submitted questions only? Scared or pre-recorded?

I loved the Faart on todays town hole. Top question voted up 150 votes plus was about pay rises, other questions raised by bootlickers which only got 5 to 10 votes.

The Execs can even work out the employees opinion. Dont you get it people are interested in their pay, not other bowel sh-t.

He pretty much told everyone they did rises last year, which is total rubbish.

The guy then had the ba--s to ask people to fill out the survey to get your opinion.

Why waste time on survey when its clear on a t hole that his not going to listen to anything they dont like.

Its just a tick box to get their employee engagement scores so the execs can get their bumper pay.

This is just a merry go round company, 7 years of town halls and surveys and they are ignoring the main concern PAY.

I am so down about working for DXC. I am considering just getting out, it's impossible to get another job when the answer to - so what have you contributed is; I would have done a load of work but it took 3 months to get access and then the client then decided they didn't want it after all. I did some stuff I though was useful, but before I got to finish it someone else just came in and did it the way they've always done it and now it's more of a mess than when I started. And DXC rolls out the threats that you'll be gone after the current project anyway, which probably explains why nobody wants to contribute to make it happen.

"I want to work for the organisation DXC would like to portray itself as."

Me too. Your post was spot on!

Obviously any company does a bit of self cheerleading to perk itself up but this is straight up potemkin village stuff.

Once again, why can't these over paid clowns actually fix it and not just create fake fluff?

I just watched the replay. Total garbage. So many low hanging fruits to pick. Leaving CIO talking so much, HR lead talking about getting predictable review process in place 5 years in, talking about our Crowdstrike outage prowess 6+ months later, Raul saying he is getting up to speed a year in and on.

I want to work for the organisation DXC would like to portray itself as. Where we are running word class services in partnership with our clients. Where everyone is equally rewarded. Where you get a thank you for a job well done. With sensible and achievable targets. Where if you ask someone for help they are happy to. Where if you ask for something, be it a server, access, or a laptop you get it quickly, and it works and it's right.

But that's not DXC is it. I think I've left already. I never really came back after Christmas. It clearly made no odds what you did in 2024 to get a pay rise. It's hardly likely for the next round - and on past record that will be 2029! So you had your chance DXC, you've lost all good will of your staff. You lost me at 2%, and that's what everyone in the team is getting. Too many people still here - aren't working in your best interests, and couldn't care less, so it's now a lost battle as far as I'm concerned.

He is absolutely 110% useless. Can't imagine working directly under him, hearing his bs patter must put his 'yes people' to sleep.

@mj+1jhd04vx3 I am quite happy to help junior colleagues progress up the ladder. But I'm with you on this sentiment. I won't be pushing those above me further forward and perpetuating the inherent unfairness of DXC's pay policy.

@qa+1jhd04vx3 They know you are - you're still here!! Although most of us now only in body, there's no mind or spirit involved.

No way was that a live town hall - it was produced like a TV show, guys sat behind a desk, quick edits, high production values and cherry picked questions. They clearly recorded two intros, so that they could use whichever one reflected the result of the game they pretended they were at. Do they think we are id--ts?

Dribble is now endemic in this stupid company. I attended another call this week. They said it was important. Absolutely no details. Some id--ts were saying what a wonderful presentation. It was just more of we need to do more!!! With who and what exactly!? The company cannot do the basics let alone consider improving. When it starts getting some detail and focus on specific tasks rather than waffling - we might get somewhere. Back to not bothering to attend any of this, it's a total waste of our time.

To me it all feels like a play with very poor acting cast just talking a load of dribble.
Agree with below, lots of senior mgmt being brought in and some have been here for sometime and none are basically growing their business so far.
Questions section are a waste of time as well. They can choose the easy ones.

It resembled a podcast with people in a room agreeing with each other, talking with a filter, and cherrypicking submitted questions they feel comfortable answering.

The one thing I'd stop to make the company grow is the endless parade of new senior management who have not once managed to turn this thing around in over a decade despite eye watering salaries and "impeccable" resumes.

All they do is hang around for a while, spout bs and collect a golden handshake.

Perhaps we should stop that.

Time you lot earned those ridiculous salaries that are many times greater than much larger and much more successful companies pay

I'd be significantly more engaged if I got the same money as colleagues who joined in the last 5 years or less years. Meanwhile I can waste as much time as anyone else moaning about DXC, and watching those higher paid people faff about getting nowhere.

They are now asking us what is the one thing you'll do or stop doing to make DXC grow.

Stop wasting my time on these town halls

The new half hour ones are one way only, they are internal PR not a Town Hall.

I’d love to attend the Townhall. But sadly I can’t because I was “laid off”, fired over a year ago, even though I was a top performer, revenue generating, beating my target, even after was saddled with $3M in expense dumped in my budget at the start of the fiscal year. Executed creative plans and got back to profitability then they fired me. DXC Executive Management can’t seem to get out of their own way so the few good employees they had could actually generate growth.

You think it's delusion? That the high ups believe they've done the right thing and everyone will be happy?

Of course they know full well what they've done. They simply won't admit the truth.
