DXC receives recognition as a great place to work

DXC receives recognition as a great place to work

Last year, DXC won awards in seven Comparably categories: Best Company for Diversity, Best CEO, Best CEOs for Diversity, Best CEOs for Women, Best Teams Operations, Best Company to Work For in Washington, D.C., and Best Company for Global Culture.

What a crock of bull sh-t!

the waybit works is they buy a table or tables for events..costing 1000s and get an award.

Or a partner pays for a table.

They are a scam. Look at any award event online, nominations etc normally free, then look at book a table attendance costs..Will be on the site normally.

Comparably is a branding channel. Awards given quarterly to 100 companies across multiple categories. Its their business model and they make no bones about it. Like Glassdoor the marketing, comms and HR make most of the gushing posts. There is also the odd department who have responded to the pressure to "activate your social network" for DXC's benefit.

Here's a typical post:

I started at DXC three years ago, when Mike Salvino and Mary Finch came on board. I have seen and been part of the journey they started for us three years ago, and have been impressed with the progress they have made with our customers, business and more importantly our people. Review from HR Dept

The more realistic ones like:

Dread each day. Work 14 to 16 hour days. Cut people, cut costs, all day long. Review from IT Dept

no job security, focus on cost cutting all the time. no employee welfare Review from Operations Dept

Leadership is always talking about how they value their employees but in everything they do you feel just a cost factor. It doesn't matter how good you are, in the end everybody just looks at how much you cost. This company needs serious investments in people not constant cost cuts

There has been many ups and downs through time, if it weren't for a great bunch of folks i work with, I may have given up working for DXC.

Are buried by the propaganda machinery of DXC. Maybe that's what platfom-x does (ha! ha! ha!)

Comparably is not a reputable institute to give out these awards objectively on an international scale. Their methodology is simplistic and uses qualitative input that is prone to data corruption. Second, the company is located in the USA and only counts metrics from the USA, meaning an extremely poor representation, perhaps even skewed, on a global scale. They also do not fully disclose their methodology to the public for scrutiny and peer-review. Could mean anything, however, my point is that you shouldn't trust these 'results' at face value. Lastly, and easily observable, these are ranked lists. There's not just one award for one company. 500 companies won such an award. It rivals nothing more than participation trophies.

Congratulations to DXC, I suppose.

Quiet quitting is against my work ethic. However, I work hard only 6 hours a day - that's all they pay me for. Until I find another job or get the raise I deserve that's what I'll continue doing.

Quiet Quitting Works. The "either with us or against us" is from the McShouty playbook. This type of binary thinking is why DXC is so bad. No discussion, no debate, no consideration just an autocracy. Quiet Quit now and effectively give yourself a pay rise (less work for same dollar) and less stress. It ok. The exec quit a long time back and are enjoying the spoils. If you cant beat them...join the. Quiet Quit Now.

I don't get paid enough to read all the emails that make their way into my inbox.
A 50% raise might nudge me to read about half of them.

@mfh+1kRpSng5 you got anything more damming? $3 million settlement, a random DXC staffer and lawsuit from the EDS/HP spinoff isn't exactly cast iorn for a company this size.

I guess the CEO doesn't know anything about this? Sounds like a company where they funnel money to Ukraine...

nothing is BS. All are facts. We are making great progress. Either you are with us (the company) or you are against us. It is that simple. make the choice. quite quitting is not going to work. if you have quit, please do leave and be fair to your colleagues who are working hard.
