Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Layoffs will continue but it won’t be 3K people

Not even close to 3k. I can’t speculate on where and when because Claudia and her 10 Vice Presidents haven’t figured that out yet. Mark Knickrehm would send all our jobs to India and the Philippines if he could. I wonder when Veritas will figure out he is Paul Saleh 2.0.

@Sentara employee.

Yeah you don’t know if it’s real or not. You are making some guess that you are not informed about.

My team lost people today. I have no idea if 3k is a real number. But what I do know is that my team lost people. And that layoffs are happening. They are a real thing. And a real threat to all of us.

It really doesn’t matter where you work within Gainwell. The same leaders run the entire organization. The same parent company owns the entire organization. The same philosophy governs the entire organization. The same risk exists for every employee of the entire organization. The same unethical and illegal behaviors exist within the entire organization.

Gainwell remains a poor company to work for. It remains a toxic and dangerous place to be. Any reasonable person without their head in the sand can see the reality of the situation. Gainwell has had their financial rating be downgraded continually over its entire existence. It is playing with fire to even be affiliated with this company.

I think if you work within a singular account, you might have it better than individuals who's scope might encompass multiple accounts.

From someone who works with multiple accounts. It's horrible. For those that do work within the scope of multiple accounts and corporate. I think they will agree for the most part.

Managers make decisions or put things into play that are anything but well-planned or implemented in a manner that one would expect. As if they have little working knowledge or experience over areas under their control. <---- Because it's a good ol' boy's club.

many of us work on existing state medicaid accounts, where things are relatively smooth.
It seems like there's some of you having a horrible experience. It's not like that everywhere.
I am not denying your experience. I'm just saying there's other facets to this place. Before you go off on me...I know nobody is safe.

Agree with @Down with the ivory tower

Gainwell definitely is dishonest and exploits states for a money grab. It’s disgusting. I take zero pride in working for Gainwell. I’m currently interviewing to get out. Hopefully it won’t be long. I can’t be part of this disgusting behavior.

I really don’t understand why people stay here. Or why people take new jobs here.

@Anonymous Curious Too

Your post proves @Out is even more correct. You are saying that the sales people take advantage of this lack of due diligence by the state. They exploit this issue and grab more money from the state.

But to top it off you are blaming the state for this issue. While yes they should do their due diligence it is quite ridiculous and definitely unethical and most likely illegal for Gainwell to exploit that issue just to steal more money from the state.

Gainwell is a crook. A cheat. A thief. A liar. They cannot be trusted to treat their customers and even vulnerable patients properly. They clearly don’t value any employee either.

It’s pretty amazing to see this operation from the inside.

@Out
Objectively, while your sentiment is understandable to vulnerable Medicaid recipients, a actual contract was made available for review and while there were sales exaggerations that would cause even those most naive state employee roll their eyes, it was clear the state didn't really take the time to understand what they were buying or more importantly, what they were NOT buying. The sales guy on another thread exemplifies the quality and character of the people responding to bids, but fairly, the state client in this situation is not doing due diligence. So, if any state people are reading these threads...wake up and step up ...ask questions, demand reference calls, require scripted demos, interview prospective staff who would be put on your implementation...you know, the stuff private sector does...this isn't hard. Verify, verify..verify...before you sign anything with them.

They can send my job to Mars, it doesn't matter. At this point, Veritas is just throwing good money after bad. Desperation is in the air. There aren't many in upper management who haven't been replaced by Accenture buddies from the new bosses. Heaven only knows where it ends up, but it will only be good for a few, and probably not you.

The next payment on our astronomical loan is due in January and Gainwell doesn’t have the cash to cover it. Paul Saleh never locked in a fixed rate on the loan so it’s balloooned over time. Layoffs to continue to gain more operating cash.

For those thinking we can’t be eliminated at any time, take a look at the new employee agreement we were forced to sign in January - there’s a section that states Gainwell can fire you for any reason… or no reason.

@Mike

You can’t be serious?

Are you really that uninformed about how Gainwell operates? That post may be a little strong but the jest of it is correct. Gainwell is an extremely dishonest company. Deception everywhere you look.

@Out is probably a little disgruntled, but nothing they said was a lie.

Previous post is outrageous! Only ppl with mental health problem or deep grudge against the corporation would say that strongly.
Of course Gainwell is not anywhere near a good corp but if compared to thousands of such other companies, Gainwell is not that bad.
It is the employees who are staying in and making free paychecks without any integrity who make such comments.

And the leaders need to be prosecuted.

Someone needs to blow the whistle on the whole operation.

It’s amazing that a place with such poor regard for employees and the law can stay in business. It’s all about money. Steal it no matter what it takes. They need to be out of business. Stealing from the states and customers is appalling. And then trying to tell the employees how great they are at the same time is absolutely crazy. They want to offshore every employee because it’s cheaper. They want to fire everyone in the US. By staying working for Gainwell you are contributing to the crime being committed against every state and every poor soul that actually needs Medicaid. The paycheck they you get twice a month is stolen money.

The leaders at Gainwell need to be jailed for this unethical and illegal behavior.

Gainwell needs to be closed. They can’t operate legally and ethically. They should be shut down.
