Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

UOP and Honeywell Lies

How long they can keep the lies so sweet? Each quarter blame the same issue. Really? obviously anyone can use AI to tell the problem is the management. That Ken West baby should retire...

@wk Only thing UOP makes good money is to force customers to take Parex drums by quarter end to dress up earnings and how they selected the current president for that exact reason.

UOP and KW are geniuses (genii?). They have lot of extreme technologies in catalysts, carbon capture, methane to higher hydrocarbons, grid scale batteries and membranes. They will carry the news Honeywell to greater asnd greater heights.

@ne Two things:

When Americans were being laid off since 2015, it wasn’t called “toxic.” In fact, it was barely criticized — because Indians were the ones benefiting. But now that people are openly calling it what it is, the replacement of the American workforce with Indian workers, it suddenly becomes “toxic”? I guess it is called Karma, right? Americans will not tolerate this breed of entitled indians.

I don’t think DC had much to do with it. This has always been driven by VK. He started it with HPS, then moved to BA, and later returned to IA, and now from the top as well, they even implemented quotas, to send work to India. He and his network of cronies are the ones who pushed this aggressively. Just look at the leadership teams, almost every Indian leader has a disproportionately high number of Indian reports under them.

What most people on this site are complaining about is that the company has gone downhill precisely because we chose Indian workers mainly because they were cheap, not because they were the most capable or delivered the best results, so you are proving my point. Now that many of them are in leadership positions, they continue the same mindset: always looking for the cheapest option, and paying as little as possible. That short-term thinking is exactly what got us into this situation. You cannot compete with Apple, and Microsoft if you pay peanuts.

@m4 you make it sound as if it is conspiracy by Indians to replace American workers. It was a wilful choice dating back to David Cote to grow India as a low cost center and move key roles. This progressive demonization of Indians has hurt the work environment hostile. Maybe you all should write to the board about this to say we want Honeywell to be selective of the right races.

@k7 No, these are Americans who are sick of being forced to train Indian workers, only to be fired so the company can import even more Indians.
Can someone explain what happened to the Americans who used to work at Honeywell? What happened to Americans in leadership roles? Their numbers have been decimated, while the number of Indians has ballooned, there is no increase in Chinese, or Koreans, or Japanese, or Europeans, but only Indians.
how can you explain this?

@jx remember the CSO of IA? Remember the BA leadership for connected? Remember the HCE building’s leadership? Not trying to be disrespectful but this is just outright racism here and not nepotism.

Corporate indian nepotism. When you hire friends all around you to help you with leadership, you cannot fire them.

@hs I agree it should not matter the race, but when you have higher concentration of Indians in leadership, would't you expect more of them to be laid off? I am talking in US. It is a simple math, higher representation in leadership and in jobs, therefore higher representation in layoffs. Correct?

@fc can you name few from leadership? I am not talking about resources in India, let's look at Leadership in US in any of these units IA, BA, or PA?

@fc
Exactly correct. This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with individual value and perceived ROI. Honeywell has done this for many years now, but this time will be more extreme. You know it is bad when IT resources are being impacted.

@f1 just look at the number of Indians laid off from IA, BA and PA leadership even HCE. Even many of the HCE engineers in India with no notice. The layoffs do not discriminate by nationality.

@es well other than Aerospace, most of the company is run by Indian leadership, so not sure if they are going to hold anyone accountable. I have no seen anything. Let me know when you see some indians being laid off.

I was looking for the comment saying it is the Indians and all because of the Indians and India. Couldn't find it so here it is!
