Layoffs and Business Continuity

With the holidays coming up and all these much need layoffs being executed, how is the business continuity planning going, Alvind ? Shareholders should ask the question and you continually lie whenever you go in front of the media to talk about layoffs :

Net hiring up ? where exactly ? India as usual ? Who gives a darn when you are running a public American company and Americans are being laid off. Your compensation and those of your Pipmunks needs to be re-balanced (downward direction) for your failures. You are getting excessive compensation for your lack of management. As a CEO, you are an abject failure, not a great employee. And you contradict yourself in the same interview and you know it. You are an excess to IBM requirements.

Yepper, more work being pushed down, all the Indians have no clue what they are doing, Indian PMs when you push back on all these "mandates and initiatives" about no resources, tight timelines, they just say we will get back to you and never do. If you think now is cluster f**k wait until next week when US goes on holiday and wait until the day after Dec 4th when thousands of IBMers are poof, gone. Then things start to fall apart just like the last time this past summer.

What you have to understand is that Arvind is just a few months from retiring and only cares about keeping the share price up during that period. If it goes to $0.01 the day after he retires and cashes out he cares not one bit.

Sadly with the amount of people who got RA’ed in cloud don’t know how any of those teams will be able to take on that much new workload over their existing workloads. If you haven’t updated your resumé it’s time you started. This isn’t the IBM of old. RA’ing people in the thousands to “rebalance” what a crock

Why caring about business continuity?? Talented Ppl get RAed, and the work is dumped into their (long time) teammates, while the ppl in India (mostly poorly trained and with less skills) do mostly less critical/complex tasks. Our attitude of rallying to keep the lights ON, is what makes the incompetent leadership think that their all India strategy is working. It is time to let the products crash and burn, so they understand the consequences of their decisions.
