Its a good company to start with and move on from with some experience.
Anyone that has been there long term is probably deadwood that really couldn't make it anywhere else...And that is at all levels, the higher up the more damage over the years.
They are the ones whining on this site.
If they were any good, they would have moved to another company, a better one.
The good ones have.
It's no wonder they lose accounts and lay off people

Working with DXC feel like hiring a mechanic but the customer has to tell them exactly what to do!! This is because the customers don't think they can trust us to do a good job, and for many of out staff that's true. Many tasks only now get done by escalation. Our management have lost control of staff and customers. They have no carrots to hand out, and seem totally reluctant to use any sticks. Until that changes more good people leave every month either to better jobs or out to retirement, and a growing trend is just to give up fighting, sit back and take the money. The company is doomed. But it'll be a long slow death which suits many here who only need another years pay, maybe two...
well said
moaning dead wood
I dread every Monday, in fact most days. My colleagues have forgotten how to do their jobs. All I hear it that the simplest of things is now very complicated, and we're too busy anyway. The client nod their heads and agrees. But the observant among us, notice they just put that task with someone else who didn't complain it was too complicated for them. Even if they can't do it, they still get paid to try!
true, in my instance I'm doing almost no work and awaiting a nice redundancy payout...if I don't get it anytime soon well at least it's free money until then ahaha...you get what you pay for right?

Do not forget some of us didn't choose to work for DXC, we got TUPE-ed across when DXC won a contract from our original employer. Just waiting for the contract to end to get TUPE-ed somewhere else.
@lrq+1ugJDOIu Absolutely - many people who grumble here do so because they care. But cannot find anyone inside the org who'll listen, and we hope the management might actually read some of this.
Good companies reward their staff, they say thank you, they put equipment and processes that work in their hands. They listen to them, and they still might say no. But least everyone feels engaged. Good companies also dismiss the dross.
The people who show up to town halls and say how wonderful DXC is and the resign within 18 months do it no favours.
You couldn’t be more wrong
The ones who have stayed behind are pretty good. It means that they have survived around 20 organisations WFR’s where the weakest have been culled.
This company might be bad but it isn’t stupid. They will never force pay off a good staff if they can help it.
So stfu and give some credit to the people here, they are not b-ms or losers, they are far better than most of the ones who sit silent and don’t complain, because it’s those people who are hiding and afraid of their jobs due to low skills.
Staff would be effective if they got rewarded for a job well done and saw colleagues dismissed for being useless. And above all - they just felt valued. Nobody feels valued at DXC. You get the same 0% rise if you bust a gut and do 3x what anyone else does. People stopped trying about 3 years back which was 2 years after their last pay rise. We get lied to that there might be a pay rise this year. There hasn't been something for 10 years for many staff. People figured they don't need to try to get paid their basic wage - so they don't. They log in attend a few meetings say how busy they are, and blame other team mates, the equipment or the cat on why something had to slip. And there's no consequence so this behaviour just grows.
