I'm still safe, but I'm feeling tons of anxiety because it would be really, really bad for me to lose this job at this moment. I hear that there is more to come. How long will these cuts last, when will we finally be able to relax a little?

Engineers and NTAC were "rebranded" to Ericsson Managed Services in 2009. Ericsson sucked. In 2013 and 2014, engineers and NTAC were brought back to Sprint.
Field operations in markets was entirely outsourced to Ericsson and then Goodman.
@dqpe+1m0rp4V5 you have no idea what you are talking about
Sprint did most or the network maintenance??🤣 You've got to be kidding me!! Ericsson Managed services destroyed the Sprint network. End of story..
My job was cut on 04/05/2023. IT. Now that the layoff “fear” is gone I am now having will I find an income source before the severance runs out and the creditors come knocking on the door. I definitely don’t feel any love for T-Mobile ATM. 🥹
Relax?!? About 6 months after you start your next job. That's about how long it took me to scrape all that magenta off...

Actually, at Sprint, we did our own deployments and maintenance on the network equipment. T-Mobile prefers to pay the vendor to do the work. Paying the vendor is not cost effective and keeps the detailed knowledge of the network in the vendors hads - which leads to reliance on vendors.
Ans yes, Sprint has some outages, but so did (does) T-Mobile. But Sprint was less reliant on the vendor.
Sprint's downfall was the leadership team's fault as well as Marketing.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
When Sprint bought Nextel and effectively turned the company over to the Nextel leadership, we used to laugh…Nextel bought Sprint with Sprint’s money.
It appears history is repeating itself. Sprint bought T-Mobile with T-Mobile’s money.
The Sprint model is to outsource everything in the name of saving money. Given we are Sprint now, I’m sure there are more rounds to come.
Not for the foreseeable future…unfortunately
It will never end until you find something else. There will be round after round. This is the new T-Mobile reality we acquired from Sprint.
