Put all the boomers out to pasture, breath some youth into this slow moving, ancient mentality company.
It is needed.

Typical response of the young, incompetent college grad still living in mom and dad's basement. It is the boomers who made this company a great one until TW and GS came around. Funny thing is, us boomers will have more money in our pension and 401 than you will ever have!!! Have fun for another 30 years!

Not a good idea that they leave. AIC already paid a price for letting go of their experienced employees to the point they sent an email soliciting mentors back in 2013 I believe it was. It has been a complete mess since then.
You mean like the LDPs who have no experience and somehow are fast tracked to being directors 2 years out do their 3 year rotation? Yeah I’d love to report into one of them because the only thing I could possibly learn is how to network myself into a promotion rather then actual know what I’m doing.
@ywa+1aFUdQF6 yeah, they have nothing better to do than bi--h on the internet... Such a difficult job, blah blah blah
LOL... If casual observers didn’t know any better, this website would lead them to believe that 99% of Allstate is composed of claims adjusters.
People need to realize that the ONLY saving grace is the “older” employees who actually know how the he-l to handle a claim. These younger newbies only know how to fill out a CPT script and move on. No follow up or managing the claim. It’s sickening to look at files. I feel bad for the customers.
Allstate has been only targeting hiring young people for the last several years. Problem is, they get experience and then leave. It costs a lot to bring in someone new to train. They were banking on getting cheaper employees in the Southern states that they opened offices in, but were sorely disappointed. There are probably more employees in Northern Ireland and India than in the U.S. now. They are trying to cut costs everywhere. Now, I'm sure they will sell several buildings (if they can) to get rid of real estate debt. I'm just glad I don't own a business.
The offer wasn't just made to older people. I am a band E in my 30's and received the voluntary offer. I am taking it. Writing is on the wall for those who don't.
Would “discrimination” still be a factor if it’s a voluntary offer? I would not think so, but I’m not familiar with related employment laws.
I’m a Boomer and I’m just as frustrated as those younger specific to how this company is (mis)managed. This isn’t a generational issue but reflects squarely on the inadequacies of our current senior leadership regardless of age.
Progressive is full of late Boomer senior leaders and is ki----g it at the expense of our company.

@lgs+1aFUdQF6 it's a good start but I'm saying more is needed
Clearly you are not keeping up with what is going on! Band E (bonus level) and above have largely been offered VSO 3 weeks ago.
