Things are bad, but they can't be bad all the time, 24/7. Tell us - what's the best thing that has happened to you at DXC recently?

lol. best thing? I left...
Nope nothing good to say about DXC.
They just fixed the coffee machine. Oh, and I got my redundancy to leave this toxic, energy draining place....hail King Mike the Targaryen
You want postive, OK the America's Town Hall Q&A . You can find all the details about it on other posts on this site. Andrew (I think that was his name) put DXC management though the ringer and they couldn't come up with a good answer to anything. All of us were smiling and clapping for this brave sole to take them on.
DXC talking about new hires, WE DONT give a RATS A$$ about hew hires, we want to know about OUR JOBS... Do we just assume if were not services and consulting (won't call it digital, cause computers have been digital since they were invented), that our jobs are done?
Best thing that every happen to me was 3 years ago when they were still CSC in the US......I retired afer 15 years.....no insurance and not much pension, but I got my life back!
It's a site to share info about people losing their jobs.
@ZAD56Pz-2eli I'm not British, but the UK has different labor laws, so in the US you get laid off through workforce reduction (wfr) and get a couple week severance depending on time served. In the UK they call it redundancy, as in your job is redundant we don't need you anymore, and they get up to a year severance, depending on length of service.
I don’t understand all the statements about people saying they were made Redundant What does that actually mean? In the US your laid off and it’s a max of 8 weeks pay, so it’s no big thing to be laid off and just to leave on your own.
You don’t want to work for DXC then quit and shut the F up. If you can help others with new jobs or help is anyway then post or shut the F up
I got my redundancy approved last week. Best thing to happen to me since I joined hp
The VR mail.
My last paycheck didn't bounce!!! :)
We are all positive that unless you are brand new, 21 years old and sit in New Orleans - your job is at risk and you cannot support your clients
El Reg made my day with much ROFLMAO with this article:

The positive thing that DXC did for me is make me realize that I do not need them and I will be much, much happier without them.
@ZAD56Pz-1jen team building? Is that still a thing in the 21st century? It used to be the thing in the 90's, but these days?
Besides, little point it trying to glue a team together when half of it will be RIF'ed inside of 3 months.
A client, who was so satisfied with my work, took me with his colleagues out to dinner and then went to a bar for drinks. He even paid for my hotel. Before that, I was taken with the client on a team building activity and then we went out for dinner.
He and his colleagues asked me what team building DXC employees do on a regular basis. They were shocked when I told them we don't do any, and if we would we have to pay for it ourselves. One of them even asked whether I still talk with other colleagues or not, to which I said barely, and that I work from home 5 days a week.
Despite their shock, the client is considering hiring me on a different team. I suppose that is the best thing that happened to me at DXC recently.
Best that happened recently: Found an SSD for on sale for 20 euro at the supermarket (after IT repeatedly refused any help because my PC is still bootable with recycled HDD). My outdated DXC laptop now boots in less than 30 minutes, no longer crashes 4 times a day, and is even able to keep up with Skype calls without breaking up and getting disconnected. My laptop is now performing like a hairdryer.
Positivity? I'd love to find some.
Every day since Mikey arrived at CSC I have looked for the turning point. The one where the chaos is over and an even keel is found again.
I have actually given up expecting it to happen, because quite plainly its never going to happen.
So just another day of finding that something is not done because the person you were dealing with has been RIF'ed. Another day of emails to people you spoke to only last week that bounce. Another day of project managers asking why things have not happened and the answer being that resources are either gone, stretched to breaking or just not responding because they don't give a f*** any more.
Another day of asking my management chain how the f*** am I supposed to do my job when all of the people I depend on to get things done are gone.
I've tried to be positive, but there is no chance any more.
I've come to the conclusion that it can only be deliberate too. Which is nice.
I only worked a few hours this past weekend
jeff lynne @ dxc, made I laugh, about the only thing on this board that is vaguely amusing!
best thing .. made me redundant.
cash in bank. new job. a company that values people.
UK.
Yes, it IS all that bad. If you can’t see this you are a naive fool. Open your eyes.
Sun is shinin' in the sky
There ain't a cloud in sight
Another outage, too few staff is just the way
But don't you know
It's a beautiful new day, for a riff
Runnin’ down resource so low
See how the stock slides in the city
Where once was customers, there’s now just pity
Mister Lawrie is driving them all away, hey hey
Mister lawrie please tell us why
You had to riff us all for so long (so long)
Where did we go wrong?
Mister lawrie please tell us why
You make a bonus when the growth has died for so long (so long)
Where did we go wrong?
Hey lawrie’s got a human face
But was never part of the human race
A celebration, the devil’s down there waitin'
And soon will come the day that we’ve all been waiting for…when you’ve gone (so gone)
Oh mister Lawrie please tell us why
You had to riff away for so long (so long)
Where did we go wrong?
Hey there mister lawrie
No ones pleased to work for you
Look around see what you do
Everybody despises you
Mister lawrie, mister lawrie
Mister lawrie
Mister lawrie, you did us wrong
But soon the devil comes creepin' over
Now his hand is on your shoulder
Never mind the ones your riffed, we’ll remember, we’ll remember you
We’ll cheer that very day
Mister lawrie please tell us why
You had to riff us all for so long (so long)
Where did it all we go wrong?
We wasted money on McKinsey’s fare
That left us broken everywhere, customer left and we didn’t care
Look around see what you do
The logo’s black but should be blue
To reflect our mood from what you do
Best thing that happened to me last week was that I lost my last piece of naivity still left and found out that DXC is even more wicked and evil then I had imagined. So better to be warned! They squeeze people out like lemons but and will despite of all the efforts and sacrifices made for the company - trow you out like garbage. A former colleague of mine got fired although she was doing a very good job, and even did not get the legal required package she was entitled to.
So now through her i have seen how the face of DXC looks like when you are on the other end - DCX s;face is that one of a psychopat. They don't even care for their good people. Ones you are trown out, they will even try to avoid to pay any compensation.
Well they rif’d a guy while he was on bereavement. Oh and they rif’d five people then cut everyone’s lunches to 30 mins and tacked on an additional hour of mandatory OT. Can’t forget they are asking others who work after hours to also work days off during normal hours, cause they lack coverage. Oooo and the “if u need to take time off (vacay) make sure to find someone to cover ur shift or we can’t approve it”. Yep allll positively ridiculous things dxc is doing 👍
Everyone but me got outsourced to India.
You serious?
