SSDD. Nothing different happening at USAA than at any other business ever. Employees are numbers, and when the math doesn't work anymore, the denominator gets changed. Consent order? New denominator. Losses in P&C ? New denominator. Consent order close to lifted? New denominator. Bank profitable but could be even more so? New denominator. Employees are numbers...employees are cogs in the machine, and the machine will never feel like it owes the cogs a damn thing. Do whatever you need to do to keep food on the table and lights on, my fellow numbers, and don't let anyone tell you that what you choose to do isn't right for you.

We've been told that the layoffs were to reduce redundancies across USAA. So that poster quitting wouldn't magically open up a job for someone else. Pull your head out of the sand and wake up.
Well you aren’t wrong but a lot of the angst is simply out of disappointment in the direction the organization has taken. USAA used to be different. They didn’t treat their employees like this just because they could.
OP, you're right that we're numbers, but you're wrong about me being your kid, thank you.
@unt+1mGM02KF, then quit you coward. Oh. That’s right, you can’t. Go back to living paycheck and blame the world for your misery. Boo boo, have to RTO.F off and leave so the folks who just lost their job can have a chance again.
OP is right. It’s a fk business, not a democracy. decisions are made and we decide to agree and stay or disagree and leave.
...and this is why america is turning into a 3rd world sh ithole. Cowards like OP just accept the way this company treats its employees
New consent order? Or old one? They deserve one, half baked solutions and a complete disregard for doing the right thing.
