Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

JUST A DEAL: Private Equity # Shifting

...#s are being Crunched. Apollo desperate to get Bain to Secure ANY Deal. Many bidders have walked away....

The "newbies" in charge have big egos and low confidence, which leads to big mouths spewing promises of a big deal pending.

I trust it's "Just a Deal". Not "Big". Not "Inspiring". Not 'Transformational".

Just
A
Deal

Private Equity needs to shift the losses.
From one frying pan to the next.

@qe - Bain Capital wasn’t in aspect or Alvaria. They are out of Avaya. Your attempt to keep the lights on here is silly. None of the PE firms you’ve referenced have anything to do with aspects, Alvaria or Avaya… Bain consulting is a whole different place. I think this things tanked and being run by mo--ns. This is basic research and you don’t do any of it. Yea. I’ll stop reading now and would tell everyone else too as well. This is all speculation.

I concur.

This comment from another post is also most accurate.

Aspect. Alvaria. Excellent suspects in this saga. Both have Bain & Co fingerprints on them. I can't see one major player (MSFT/ZOOM/AWS) who would need to pay a penny for the Sh--e-storm that is Avaya. End of the line. End of the rope.

it is possible that the PE folks wont even approve another Bain group alliance. If that is the case leadership may be learning they have to bring the ugly girl to the dance and try to make a go at it....who am I kidding??? These leaders would never work! They are just along for the ride to get a pay day at the end of the conspired transaction. We all know better.

@kr ha ha ha ha ha. Yet here you are. Reading and monitoring all of the posts, :)!!!!!!!

Yes. We know. The firms crunching the #'s monitor this and it is a thorn in your side. I hear the Looooong post about Buzz Lightyear Infinity launch being a total joke is what lost you that buyout offer in May 2025.

So people. PLEASE keep sharing. We all know this forum has been the absolute best source for real (and proven) facts since this whole saga began.

@cm Yes. Bain was chosen back during AM's days at the helm, by Apollo. Apollo charged Bain to get the company postitioned for a sale. Sadly, Bain was assigned some useless resources (SS, CFO, big ego ST, and ML-M) to guide them. All they did was posture themselves, hire friends, position themselves for power (recall ST gearing up to annoint herself head of EMEA as her pre retirement to a home in Ireland and the deal she made with Savio because she was dating one of their sales leaders?).

Revenue just plummeted during this time. Now they are desperate. And Bain will do what Bain always does...just shuffle the #'s and ownership with another Bain client because they were unable to find a suitable buyer.

@OP Keep trying to make this forum relevant. No one here knows anything important. This place is a total joke now.

Yes, all the empty "deal is coming" and "just wait, you will see" comments and inferences during meetings are kinda funny. Anyone with 1/2 a brain KNOWS that it ain't gonna be some super-duper game changing win that will catapult Avaya to the top of the mountain.

Its gonna be a Private Equity back door ownership shift covered in pig lipstick.

I also agree with Post ID: @nzc+1jkrnbq2w -- Not enough attention has been paid to that insightful post from February. Not certain any of those PE owned companies will be able to pull it off, but they are very likely candidates to participate in some backdoor, backwards paper shuffle of ownership, especially knowing PD's history with their owners and the "brands". How very "original". NOT.
