BENEFITS DEPT REDUCTION?

Has anyone heard of benefits dept being offshored? I’ve seen 2 posts on linkedin since yesterday from people on benefits team looking for next opportunity.

@fb If I recall correctly, there was a dept (or maybe 2) that received early notice that their positions were being offshored. I wanna say it was an HR/payroll-related dept and I think it was like a 14 or 30-day notice. My guess is that by giving an "early notice", the company is hoping most people just jump ship on their own, then they don't have to pay out severance. Which is f---ed up if true.

@ey I was hoping the same thing but one person mentioned as of 2/27 they are open to other opportunities. Plus most people that leave on their own have something to go to and won’t post they’re open to work. Seems like some sort of restructuring or something.

I also saw posts on LinkedIn but was hoping it was due to finding other opportunities. I havent heard or seen anything about it being a layoff yet!
