I participated in a marriage counseling session with my spouse yesterday and will share with you some words of wisdom.
If you feel like you have tried everything reasonable to improve things but still feel like you are in a relationship that does not make you happy, then end the relationship and move on.
It is best to end it amicably.
A lot of you here are convinced that you are in a poisonous environment. You also believe that the leaders are to blame.
Just like your spouse, the leaders will be staying, so you can choose to stay in a place that makes you miserable, or be strong and move on.
P.S. Even in marriage, it helps both parties when the relationship ends. At first the other spouse might be sad or think they will miss you but will learn quickly that they were with a toxic partner.

@kn Definitely a progressive counselor and not one rooted in G0ds Word. Its not the person that is the problem, its you internally to fix yourself to fulfill marriage purpose
That is terrible marriage counseling advice.
You are not obligated to stay where your light is dimmed. You are allowed to walk away from what hurts, even if it once paid the bills or felt like the “safe” choice. Misery is not a badge of honor. You are capable, worthy, and resilient—and there is a world beyond this that will value you, not drain you. Leaving isn’t failure. It’s self-respect in motion.
Very true.
There are a lot of crybabies on this site who moan and groan about how bad everything is.
But they never leave. They would have nothing to complain about if they left.
In your head are you the toxic one or your spouse? Marriage not same as paid work.
