Dxc set to lose its lucrative BAe contract in the uk

It has just been announced in the UK that BAe is set to separate itself from Services provided by Dxc. First to go is the service desk to cap Gemini. Bae has extended its contract with bae for 1 year while it transitions services to other providers. But in what looks like a 't-t for tat' move, dxc recently announced that its service delivery spin off, FDS, will be brought back in house, and transitioned back to dxc. We suspect this is to make it more difficult for other companies to come in and effectively take over FDS. So all fds staff will now be DXC from August 1st, and make good fodder for DXC'S impending sla-ghter of employees following the shocking results that will be announced on Thursday.

If you are stupid enough to still have Dxc shares, offload them now, before they become Dollar shares!

Your welcome.

Glad I'm outta there. Terrible company to work for. Management rubbish as well. Look elsewhere if you want a decent job, and salary.

DXC's issue is that very few of the staff that work for it want it to win. Because Winning with DXC means a 0% pay rise. That's why DXC is set to lose this and probably other contracts which are up for renewal. DXC staff don't believe in it working, so why should the client.

@uxj+1swumFLW Again I want to stress I am outside the company. So my comments are inherently speculative It's obvious that the Sabre account would face a massive decline in revenue. Sabre closed 17 datacenters 3 of which where DXC owned and shifted to Google cloud. A grand total of 40,000 servers are no longer DXC managed. Sabre was bound to do this because much of that work (not all) is cheaper in the cloud. I also want to point out the one of the DXC data centers was legacy EDS and in continuous operation since the 1970's. What a nightmare! After all this Sabre still has a few mainframes that I think theyre stuck with so I dont think they'll be able to get rid of DXC completely but I also don't see how it's fair to lay this at the feet of the Account Executive. This is also why I sort of belive the guy here commenting about 1970's era tech at BAE and why I suspect BAE isn't an amazing cash cow in every segment. As for why I give some creedence to this post at all. It sorta makes sense as to why FDS is being pulled back in DXC. Furthermore legitimate information like Sal's departure has been leaked here in the past. Trying to put the puzzle pieces togeather.

Way too much heresay and speculation on this thread.
90% of the stuff posted here is bs and Chinese whispers.

As for Sabre.
That sh-t show of an account had it's day 10 years ago but it's AE thinks it's still the biggest thing.
It's true. The AE is the biggest thing in DXC . It's the biggest declining account on the US books. That's because they were so resistant to change that all the great people left or died and now they are scurrying around like ants.

@lxc+1swumFLW hmm I'm tempted to take that bet. Care for a friendly wager?

@kiz+1swumFLW I'm external to the company but that's what I suspected. It just seems weird that BAE would only now get be angry at DXC for bad support when this has been going on for years. Also I'm guessing that the BAE 1970s era infrastructure referenced below is probably running in a DXC collocation similar to what we saw at sabre. If that guess is accurate then it explains why BAE hasn't canned DXC. The FDS reintegration is interesting, posters here have alleged fraud with the BAE billings perhapse Raul has heard about this and wants more transparency? Pulling FDS in would presumably make it less of a black box, no? Also d-mb question but what does SCCL stand for? Is it also a low margin support service? Appreciate any thoughts/help 🙏

Dxc don’t want the service desk.

The didn’t tender for SCCL desk either.

This is weird. Why now? After all these years, what changed? We all know BAE is also fairly incompetent so what caused them to finally take notice and do something about it. It's also interesting that service delivery desk is the first on the chopping block presumably that's one of the more commodified offerings. I can't help but wonder if this contract isn't as profitable as we think.

I suppose if you cut staff pay and have a lot of pi---d off people working for clients you aren’t going to do good work.

BAE has DXC's hands tied. With processes and systems from the 1970's. You try and do something useful and they reject it, make dam right stupid decisions, and then just complain it's all still broken. That said get us over to CapGem, where they actually do give staff pay rises.

No great surprise, the service on this contract has been terrible for years. I heard networks is next to be removed from Dxc.
