Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

There's not much they can do

People, don't panic. What will WFC do to those who are not vaccinated if they implement a vaccine mandate? I doubt they're going to fire tens of thousands of people at once. Layoffs are one thing. They can pick and choose who to get rid of, but this would cause total chaos. Losing so many people and some from key positions that they can't afford to keep empty is not in anybody's interest. So what's left? A fine? A writeup? Higher insurance costs? I can live with those.

No tinfoil hat here and no I did not just find out about labs. I simply asked if others knew the extent. Can you read? Maybe if it were on Tik Tok it would be closer to something your limited intelligence can comprehend. If people really educated themselves on facts opposed to the latest social media post, we might have some smarter action in the world.

I was in line early for the Vax because I understand the reality and I care about my family and friends.

@1bfq+1cw07axz just found out there's labs.

And @1bfq+1cw07axz posted in such a way as to cause fear.

@1bfq+1cw07axz, when you're done with it, don't forget to put that tinfoil hat in the recycle bin.

I am curious if anyone else on here has read about all of the other labs like the one in Wuhan where all this started. We are all so worried about Covid and vax or no vax, but this is just the beginning. There are literally hundreds of Labs throughout the world mixing up nasty potions of viruses just to see if they can then control and/or ki-l them. Companies and people in general will not have any choice but to trust next level vaccines over and over. I absolutely cannot believe what I read about these labs and the work so many countries support.

There's a psychological profile for the anti-vaxxers.

It's about conspiracies, some people like to think they have some knowledge that other's do not have.

It makes them feel special.

The pandemic is real, the vaccine is safe, wearing a mask and keeping some distance helps protect others in case you have COVID.

Someday you'll look back and realize these things are true and that you were part of the problem, and hopefully you'll seek out reputable sources for your science and news.

Good luck and stay safee.

You can’t fix stupid, at least until they get on a ventilator and the light bulb comes on right before it goes out permanently. That is, if they can even FIND a ventilator before the lights go out.

(staggers in...)

Wait a second, who scheduled the Bullies Circle J*** and the Future Immunocompromised Support Group for the same time? Oh, it doesn't matter because it's the same people? Got it, looks like I came to the right place!

This is the funniest post ever. If WF wants to keep certain individuals because they are not vaccinated, believe me they will. Once a few more big companies get in line and mandate vacs or tests every two weeks, wf will follow. They are so looking forward to this as it's waaaaaaaay easier to fire someone then to lay them off.

Happy to get vaccinated, but I'll be damned if I'll sit in an office with a mask all day.

  1. That.

Yup, this is it exactly. There's really no downside from WF's point of view if there is some mass exodus of antivaxxers. The government has their back on this, the courts are on their side, it won't cost them a dime on packages and gives them their attrition they need, it makes them look like an actual rational caring organization to the public, no worries about unemployment battles, etc.

They're not gonna burn money on paying out the vaccinated, they'll just give pink slips to the unvaccinated.

Back to the OP:

I feel quite certain WFC will manage beautifully without the remaining vaccine-holdouts.

It’s a win-win for everyone.

The vaccinated will happily do a little more work rather than sit next to some tool who gets their medical info from FB. The vaccinated also win because firing the unvaccinated will reduce our chances of getting laid off. WFC wins because they will quickly cut operating costs. (Good reason to close down a lot of our bank branches in the south.) The unvaccinated win because….because… uhhh….sorry…. I guess they win because they won’t have to worry about having a job when they’re in the ICU?

The answer to OPs question is.... you will pay more for your insurance if you get it through the bank. Delta is doing it right now. They will not be the last.

Unvaccinated are 29 times more likely to be hospitalized at a cost of $1-2 million per month. This is very very simple, it comes down to risk and money.

That's the ticket. Go ahead and assume a company that publicly announced it will be laying off around 50,000 isn't going to use the easiest possible excuse to end your employment.

Why is this topic is coming up every day on this board? Some one is just simply trolling and everybody getting into this trap. People already made up their minds one way or the other. Trolls are just having fun and laughing at us.

Nah, the law is firmly on WF's side here. Maybe you guys shouldn't have elected all those anti-labor "at will employment" politicians for decades 🤷

Oh well, too late now. Good thing you won't qualify for any of that assistance you hate either lmao

I read this morning that some companies aren't quite mandating vaccines, but they're regularly testing those who aren't. Frequent testing might be such an uncomfortable nuisance that it might change some minds.

Companies are already firing them though. You think anyone looking to layoff tens of thousands of people is going to turn down the opportunity to fire the least intelligent people in the bank, and look like a hero while doing so?

Lol get real, your days are numbered. Maybe start getting those resumes over to Hobby Lobby and Piggly Wiggly now

I think you will find that companies can do more than you think. Their liability lawyers will have them protect themselves at all costs.

Some companies are starting to force it for continued employment at this point. US bank and McDs are just two I have friends at that are being told vaccinate or you're out of a job. We're all replaceable and it furthers attrition strategy.

If they employ a mandate at all, they'll accept moral/religious/medical exemptions, and throw up their hands with a "well, we tried but the law is the law".

while may not to the same extent, I think they'll do the same as what they will do to those that refuse to return to office and that will be be to fire them.
