Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

No, you don’t need to work harder but try harder to leave

I don't know how it happens, but there are people who somehow get convinced by HW that they don't work hard enough and that they should do more...
That was my case, for a long time I thought that the problem was in me and that I should try to be more more productive. I eventually left and now I can say that you should never allowed them to convince you of that. I found a much better opportunity, and I work only 50 percent of what I did at HW.

When I worked at HW I put in less than 10hrs of actual work a week until I found a job I love with pay that is fair and benefits that are in line with other companies.

Get out while you can

Yup.

HW expects you to cover 3 jobs at 85% salary of the median pay of the title you hired at (plus obscenely high healthcare costs and a "gotcha" 401k match).

Pleased to be earning 30% more at my new job, paying 10% of what I used to pay for healthcare at Honeywell (that's right TEN Percent; 90% less than HW) and just doing the work related to my title and not the undesirable tasks my coworkers refused to do.
