Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Can someone explain…

Can someone explain to me how this makes sense? The team is on the verge of a meltdown from being overworked and more projects pop up with an urgency that is ridiculous and we are drowning, just to prove we are worth keeping? I don’t want to be kept if they think this type of workload should be the norm.

@ch - And lets not even get started about DENTAL COVERAGE.

It's pretty obvious what is happening here to all that care to research all the lawsuits nationally and all the contracts lost and consequent layoffs as these contracts are lost. Such p*ss poor planning and leadership. Such lack of awareness of operations from to to bottom.
And leaderships answer always seems to be to STRIP essential work tools and manpower from the places that are doing the ACTUAL WORK... yet keep the extrememely management heavy structure in tact. Its like asking your car to make a cross country trip after draining 2/3's of the fluid out of it and scuffing most of the rubber off the tires.... but one centeam and other internal social contructs is like doing all the things above and saying to yourself .... yahhh. mann but Ive got a bangin stereo, pre amp and speakers though... you can barely hear the ba----g of the engine...

@k8 You sure are triggered, snowflake. Drama queen much?

FYI, stating our government reps do not care about us is not "bringing politics into it". I saw nothing about pushing DEI or blaming the right or any other such nonsense. But you go ahead and be you, I'm sure there is counseling available somewhere.

Meanwhile, might wanna quit drama queening. It's beneath the rest of us.

@kd did you just admit why you can’t respond? Politics. You opened it. Politics.

You’re radicalized. Politics. Get help. Politics. Or touch grass. Politics.

Both would do you some good. FFS.

@kd you’re the one being non silent about political cr-p. Literally we can do this but I need you to elaborate how being overworked and feeling burnt out has ANYTHING to do with politics. You spoke first. Either you’re radicalized or you have a come back to elaborate how politics plays into this. The stage is yours. I’m just part of the audience at this point

Connect the dots of how politics even remotely plays into this. I’m here. And I am waiting on your personal response. Wanna dance? You came to the right one. Let’s dance

I think many of you would be surprised just how little your political representatives really care about any of this. Most of these companies spend a ton of money on lobbying to glaze your representatives. They simply do not care about any of it anymore.

If they want AI, give them AI and the bill that comes with it.

Many people continue to talk about offshore contractors / vendors on here.. Given this is a taxpayer funded corporation, I'm inclined to ask more about utilization of such entities , just so our state and federal representatives are aware of the organization's support for workforces outside of the US.. If you have any examples, post them here.

In relation to this post - our team has been operating of fumes for years.. We have leadership in this company who do not do any leading at all.. AI is going to be the company's future? How blinded do you have to be? Mission Simplify? How about Mission People and Mission Pay More? My advice, set and maintain expectations.. It seems as if they would rather utilize their resources on renting stadiums and private jets, not investing in their employees..

Being here quite a few years, it seems as if our product is being driven into the ground.. Lack of population health investment, lack of investment in provider relations, constant changes making core functions even more complicated.. There are such significant changes to the provider network at the moment, I can only imagine the disaster this is creating for adequacy..

If you complete it successfully and within a certain error ratio, this workload WILL BE the norm.... and then it will increase as much as workers can stand in the future. They dont give you the tools to do your job, yet the expectations multiply exponentially.... I feel like they are stripping these companies away to the bone, su-king all the money they can out of them and riding that hooptie all the way to their accounts in the Grand Caymans. It remains very very management heavy while they are outsourcing so many functions to the lying companies that dont even do the job properly or even close to the matrixes they report to the company. They have teams operating at 50% in many areas due to hiring freezes and still cry about market share . Duh. Meanwhile, the workers get overworked, the patients suffer, and the provider network shrinks and the offshoring " vendors " continue to bullsh*t their way way through millions of US taxpayer dollars while actually delivering very little in the way of TRUE VALUE.
