Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Admin leave

Placed on admin leave with no timeframe because "your position is under evaluation" due to "restructuring/reorg and looking to reduce costs"? Anyone familiar with this? Thanks!

Ended up getting the official phone call...but found out my cubicle got cleared (apparently over the weekend) and that my coworkers were made to clean out my work truck (who still haven't even been told about the layoffs) -- all before they even called to lay me off?! Is this normal?

Well it depends on compensation . If you are still getting paid then yeah it’s a leave but if not then you just got let go without severance which is unacceptable and just plain wrong!

This is effectively a layoff.

Thanks for the reply. Don't know if it has something to do with the sale of a PSL, but within this same PSL there were normal layoffs also.
