Hot mess town hall today

Hot Mess town hall today. Will he paint the org all rosy, as if we should be happy to be working under him? Will he conveniently skip over his big project to outsource all?

@k9 oh wow. So more of the typical announcing the plan before creating or thinking about the plan. Such poor leadership

@k8 it was an IT town hall - apparently some IT roles are "commodity roles" while others are not, but we're not sure who has which type of role.

@OP Has anyone got any paid training from the budget that our CISO was talking about?

Usually there is music (to set the tone) before a town hall. For this town hall I would have recommended the DISCO INFERNO song (The Trammps, 1976).

"...Folks are screaming, out of control
It was so entertaining when the boogie started to explode
I heard somebody say
disco inferno
(Burn baby burn) burn that mother down
(Burn baby burn) disco inferno
(Burn baby burn) burn that mother down
Satisfaction came in a chain reaction
(Burnin')
I couldn't get enough, so I had to self-destruct
The heat was on, rising to the top..."

Oh yeah....a hot mess

I am not completely sure what it was I witnessed in that town hall. Highlights included one VP reading us their org chart for 20 minutes, multiple instances of executive banter and snark that was a failed attempt to disguise their actual disdain for one another, and I don’t want to forget to mention the long list of retirements which was a clear message from those leaving that they are bailing just in time before this sh-t gets real next month.

Just wow... no words for that train wreck. if that's our leader, we're all in big trouble. there is no leadership there. there is a bumbling hot mess that clearly cannot even spell "IT". all topped with the other senior leaders attempting to make themselves look important with their imaginary accomplishments that exist only in their heads.

Wasn't outsourcing called a partnership with vendors?
