The anxiety is affecting me already. I cannot sleep properly and worry all day about the future.
When will it end?

Dear Colleague, yes it's stressful for the past few years now. I'm sorry to say it doesnt look promising for the future outlook at the moment. SAP is brutally cutting jobs and looks to do so annually now. The advice given to us was to "Skill Up" but I'm not sure that will save the role. I think best thing to do is be prepared individually. have your CV up to date and while you're here take advantage of the trainings offered to continue to better yourself so in case you do have to move companies, you are personally ready.
@nb You are in trouble. Chuck Norris is not happy about your posting.
Please get rid of these lame Chuck Norris posts as well similar to the previous posts from hate mongers and racist people from UK, Middle East and other places.
@k4 How do you tag a posting?
It’s a typical trolling tactic - stirring things up just to hijack the conversation. When those posts pop up, the best thing to do is not to engage. Just downvote and maybe tag #mods (usually works) , let them handle it.
@jy Trust the board!
@jr isn’t this divisive attitude exactly what the board wants from us? I won’t be surprised if someone from the board is trying to derail the constructive conversations on this site.
There’s CK Fan, Indias vs others, managers vs employees, etc. These divisive tactics are exactly what makes Unions weak and employees easy to exploit.
I implore you to post your message as a message on the SAP Layoffs chat. I really wish we as a community can move past these divisive tactics and understand how we can help each other protect our rights. Just a few years ago, we had better pay rises, being a Catalyst meant something, MOVE awards were available, managers didn’t have so much control over an employee’s career as they do now, and performance was based on merit and not just how well you get along with your manager. It wasn’t perfect but it was way better than it is now. We’re headed in the wrong direction in terms of workers rights.
I’m concerned about the direction some discussions have taken on this board, particularly the targeting of specific nationalities. We need to step back and address the real issue here.
The recent staffing changes aren’t about one group being “superior” to another. This is fundamentally a cost optimization exercise where SAP is leveraging:
• Geographic wage arbitrage
• Workers with different work-life balance expectations
• Employees who may have fewer local employment alternatives
As we transition to AI-driven development, success will increasingly depend on clear communication and precise instruction-giving to AI systems.
This actually levels the playing field, as effective AI interaction relies more on clarity of thought and communication than on specific programming language expertise.
Instead of directing frustration at fellow professionals who are simply trying to build careers and support their families, let’s focus our energy where it belongs, on corporate policies that prioritize shareholder returns over employee welfare.
We’re all navigating the same challenging job market. Let’s support each other and direct our concerns toward the systemic issues rather than creating division among workers who are all affected by these broader economic decisions.
@h9 When Chuck Norris sacks someone, the Works Council does not dare to intervene.
No worries for me..... the Works Council has been protecting me for years....Let's go Chuck Norris ( whoever you are)!!!!
@dg Chuck Norris hates Chuck Norris jokes. He will punish you with one of these weird kicks.
Chuck Norris is calm and relaxed. Nobody dares to sack him.
@b9 any chants sung with the incense burning? RISE theme songs? Green Day Songs about sustainability?
The answer to your problems is simple. You need only to survive until the next SAP recognized Mental Health Awareness month. At this time you will receive an email with helpful links to resources. There are also great meditation groups on Work Zone.
I joined a session last week and it was great. We closed our eyes, took ten deep breaths, and then calmly reminded ourselves that our CEO is a selfish di-khead who would gladly destroy our lives to increase his bonus. Then we burned some incense.
@OP you take it one day at time. Save your money and manage your health and energy. Do not let SAP ruin your health. It’s a job, they -SAP do not care!
