@k2 Lumen is becoming an MLM, just like Amway or Herbalife, with KJ and her crew at the top of the pyramid

I have my own job to do, that I already am underpaid for, and is has nothing to do with sales. Go sell your own pipe dreams. I'll do my job, you do yours.

The transformation story with an updated cast is numbing for long-timers like me. The new language around networks extending into our own personal networks is unbelievable. What .. you want us to sell the brand on top of our current jobs to largen your wallets while you dangle the carrot in front of us with ongoing layoffs when you laid off sales teams to begin with? No thanks!

Lumen can keep talking about “upskilling” all they want, but that’s not how it feels from the inside. It often comes across as, “Take these classes until the day we call you, read a script, and eliminate your job.”

Finance has been an absolute mess. Leadership talks about transparency, positivity, and opportunity, while so many employees are anxious, burned out, and just waiting for the next round of layoffs. The messaging and the reality couldn’t feel more different.

And those “Best Place to Work” awards? I honestly can’t reconcile them with what I’ve seen or heard from the people I know. Morale feels incredibly low.

Who wants to work somewhere when every reorganization feels like another countdown to layoffs? I know people who already believe their jobs are on borrowed time, so they’re doing exactly what’s required until they qualify for their severance. I don’t blame them. After everything that’s happened, I’d understand anyone wanting to take every benefit they’ve earned and move on.

At some point, companies have to realize that slogans, awards, and corporate buzzwords don’t rebuild trust. People do.

What struck me is how Kate addressed the layoffs ,like it was so difficult for her but make sure you control your emotions......and they will tell us when they can. I can tell you that you find the day you get told you are being laid off. I mean if that isn't transparency and an example of the Lumen 8 behaviors that the swear they live by I don't know what is. They need to stop saying they are transparent when they are not. It breeds mistrust when they lie. Just be honest and say yes there are going to be more layoffs because we all know that is the truth. They will keep us until AI can do our work and we are no longer needed.

Town Hall. What a joke of a company! Let's talk about the opportunities ahead for your career?? Right! Get out while you can on your own terms!
