HR is failing. After 35% cuts, the Business isn't happy with there performance. GV is done. JS is now leading learning and talent. He is hiring a consultants to layoff 75% of staff (MW must be interviewing his ethics for being our next CHRO). RP is spending more time with her boy toy than caring about the HRBPs. HRBPs are about to get slayed. All the while, GBS is about to get crushed by AI. LD is LD. She is awful. Needless to say, disfunctional leadership will cause many layoffs this year and next.

I remember going to HR when my boss told me that if I refused to participate in United Way events, I wouldn’t get a pay raise. They did nothing.
When my boss told me we needed to “je* down” Cisco on pricing and I went to HR, they did nothing,
I’ve heard of the mean girls, but the cocky boys? Lol
Some respected HR leaders have taken the package—I guess they cannot stomach the new culture, leadership team, and expected leadership behaviors. Hence, we are left with the mean girls and cocky boys.
Seems like respect is frowned upon. I see a few HR management who aren’t quite to the top, they are underestimated…Mostly because they treat people well.
So treating people with respect is frowned upon. Got it.
I can think of a few up and comers, but they’re too nice. They’ll get passed if they don’t get a little meaner.
My question is...how has the LD-effect lasted so long? You all talk about bullying, peoples careers being ruined, etc. How does it last? Who is someone ethical, with good values you could put into those ranks? You seem to have little faith!
@k2
I understand how you feel. Thank you for expressing your frustration. I completely agree with you on the lack of management skills over 50.% of the managers have. I am surprised they don’t know more and run to HR when they need help. Their stay at home wives do more managing at home than the lifeless limp ducks they are at work .
As someone in HR, this is horrific and honestly on par with how people in the organization treat us to our face. We’re overhead, we can’t possibly be smart enough to know the business, etc etc. But you wouldn’t believe how many HR people are actually the ones answering all the questions you go to your managers about because they don’t know anything about managing people or internal processes. We had a heavy cut in 2025 and those of us left are just trying to keep our heads above water. It’s hard for us too, just for the record. We aren’t recommending these cuts, we’re just the people responsible for the administration to make sure everyone gets paid and has the information they need. I know no one thinks we do anything, but have you had to work with or for LD and then still have to be rainbows and sunshine for mgr engagements to help the business?! She actively bullies us and we’re in HR! And most of us don’t think this self service GBS model is going to work, but we’re being told don’t be the squeaky wheel or we’ll end up on someone’s sh-t list for cuts this year. We’re always 5-10 yrs behind Shell and Exxon and we know for sure Shell has already started returning workers in Hr to the US because having people in other countries with no US labor law knowledge isn’t working out for them. Good luck having anyone advocate for employees ever if you get your wish and have us all out sourced because that 3rd party vendor will just be there for a check…at least when HR is internal there are people that try to work with you and help out.
What is wrong with you people? These are people's jobs on the line. You like benefits, you like being paid? HR has its functions that are important. The LT won't get hurt, it will be the actual hard working staff that will. If you hate HR then point that towards LT and especially ELT as they are the villains that need to be let go!
It would be quite a trick to find somebody ethical in HR considering the RM affect and legacy. Is MG doing better? Maybe..
Cut them all and outsource 100% of HR. Nothing of value will be lost.
Signed - an IT person who thinks this will never happen to him
Who will sc--w us over now?
No one actually needs HR.
Who even are these people?
Will anyone even notice?
I’m sure further cuts will make “the Business” happier. Better to clean house and hire competence but making sense isn’t part of strategic planning here.
such drama, who cares about HR?
