Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Les Retirement

When is Les going to "retire"? We all know what "retirement" for LT is. He's the worst CIO in Chevron history and is wrecking IT. He makes BB look like Superman. Bring back that pinball table!!!

@1ga another example of a leader with no humility and all about herself. She doesn’t care about the people of dni.

Chevron buys the award for her and she only acknowledges her Shell people, even though Shell laid her off.

@1a that award is bought with the subscription. Data IQ is trying to keep getting paid because they should have been cut as a cost savings opportunity.

Another example of where we could save money but smoke and mirrors takes priority

@k1
I never said the Indian CIO will live in India, of course they will live in Houston. The senior IT management position will always be in the USA. I just said, “Indian” CIO.
They will exploit the workforce living in India but what smart Indian working in the CIO position would want to live in India?
India is a cr@ppy country to live in.

A prime example of A players hire A players, and C players hire D players.

Guess which one is LC and AK.

AK is a horrendous manager with a strong record of less than stellar treatment of people.
She’s the definition of what not to do if you care about values and people.

More than LC needs to retire.
He needs to bring KG and AK with him when he leaves.

Did you see that AK was named the #1 most influential data and AI leader in all of north america?! What has she done? What an absolute joke when the organization is falling apart and employees are quitting. I suppose that is #1 most influential in the wrong direction???

@139 stop requesting new software that will increase IT spend when there’s already a tool that will do what you need.

@jt “interim CIO” is not a thing. Stop making stuff up.

The strategy is to offshore, sure. Would not surprise me if the CIO role is gone after LC.

The 2030 target is 20% US and 80% offshore, split across Bangalore, Manila, Buenos Aires.

The head of IT is India is not CIO when you still have the XLT mostly in the US. This is the plan, and if you’re saying anything else, you’re just making sh!t up.

@OP
LC is an interim CIO until the transition to an IT workforce located in India. The target is 2030 and he will exit after the new Indian CIO is in place. The transition is taking place now and they are strategically removing the legacy Chevron IT managers. We have already seen many leave and their will be a continued “retirement “ of the legacy Chevron IT managers leaving over the next several years.
Many of them will be forced out through weak project results or just a lack of leadership skills. I have seen several project initiatives started early this year that IT managers will not deliver on. The consultants are managing the initiative and tracking results.

Don’t be fooled .. Les is too busy playing in ADO to retire. We all wish he would focus on the EPMO more.

@bq You like being paid? Thank IT! If it wasn't for IT you would be back in pencil and paper days. I know that is what you remember MAGA Boomer but anything you do today including typing your post on here is thanks to IT!
