@kp resumes, annual reviews, any certifications you got while there, job description etc. Be careful they monitor email to external addresses and will flag you for sending docs externally.

@jx What is your age/generation?

To be fair, this sounds like reddit-style doomerism that is usually spouted from kids who recently graduated that are upset a degree didnt guarantee them 6 figures and as a result, became toxic to work with due to unearned entitlement.

@kp any documentation of projects or initiatives that you worked on, if any of that is in your performance reviews, you can get those as well. Your resume and/or anything personal that you may have on there.

@gn your "notice" is the 30 days that they are still going to pay you, but you won't be working. So basically, when Rif'd you are told that your access will be revoked shortly and that you need to log off promptly. They are going to pay you for 30 days, you keep your computer and you agree that within that 30 days you must cooperate if you are contacted for any work-related questions. It is important for everyone to make sure that you have all of your personal and career related information in a different place then your work computer so that you have access to it in case of a Rif. Please prepare. Almost everyone that I know thought they were "safe" to some degree before they were Rif'd. The reality is, no one is safe, no matter your job title, job duties, knowledge, skills, and/or job performance. Make sure that you are saving money now. The job market is brutal. Not only are tons of qualified and knowledgeable people applying for the same jobs, but interview processes are weird, companies are taking longer and longer to go through their interview process, many requiring 3-5 rounds of interviews before deciding on a candidate, that's even if you get to the interview process. Severance for sure helps but that depends on years of service and in this market, even if you get the max severance, the odds are you will still be looking for work after those months are up. Also start thinking of "alternative" careers, what could you pivot too with your skills and knowledge? The whole Insurance company sector is laying people off, so even more people applying for the same jobs even if it is a competitor of Elevance. Also, even though you are a former employee, they still favor internal candidates over you. Make a plan, protect yourself because this place definitely won't no matter how much you have given or how long you have been here.

I’m truly sorry, sending thoughts and prayers your way! Can you share if you were laid off effective today or were you given a notice?

I was one of 3 RIFs on my team. GBD UM. I am furious but I can't say I'm shocked. We've been going to work every day for months now, hoping each day our manager wouldn't IM us asking if we can have a phone call. Well, today was my day to get that IM and phone call.
